The hotel offers a dedicated airport shuttle service, a significant perk that helps alleviate the stress of airport transportation. LaGuardia Plaza Hotel Reviews
Stayed here with a group of friends this month, and our highlight was literally Deborah! She’s the warmest front desk agent, and we looked forward to seeing her in the lobby. She was so kind to us, and had great customer service. :)The rooms weren’t the most well maintained in terms of facilities (faucets were finicky, toilets were very slow to flush), but the staff and location made up for it.
May 28, 2025 · Gaby LopezOverall it’s a good place, and easy to access airport. They have an airport shuttle, 2 places on site to eat and a pool/fitness center. Close to Jackson Heights, Elmhurst and Astoria. The rooms have mini fridges, to keep things cold. Although the second room we were in didn’t seem very cold.Requested an ADA room for my father. They gave him a room with a non-ADA bathroom and we didn’t notice until later in the evening, so unable to shower :-/Requested ADA room next day and they provided a room with an accessible shower. Issue was resolved.Few things: Closets don’t have lights; a small issue, but when you’re a disabled and older person with vision difficulties, and your room is decorated with dark colors, lights in closets make a difference.Of the two rooms we were in, the restroom exhaust is in poor condition or doesn’t exist. You can visibly see the dust buildup on the exhaust grille, which makes you consider how long it’s been since the air system has been cleaned. Dirty exhaust = poor air quality. The bed in the second room was made, but they smell like they have not been changed. These are a few observations.UPDATE: My father used their shuttle service today and the driver dropped him at ARRIVALS, not departures. He’s a 75 year old man who walks with a cane. It’s a shuttle service TO the airport; wouldn’t this always mean DEPARTURES? I don’t understand how someone would let a passenger off at arrivals- most travelers are unfamiliar with the airport layout. While trying to find departures he fell down and could have seriously hurt himself. People are just so disappointing. 5/10.
Jun 02, 2025 · Abbe RisdonUpon arrival, the people at the front desk were very nice and accommodating. It’s a beautiful hotel..A few issues, though our room had an AC problem and was very uncomfortably hot.The parking is terrible and way overpriced. First night I was there. I drove around for an hour and had to wait for someone to leave. Due to a large banquet. The restaurant service was just OKThe food was good, but was expensive! It’s in New York. Now the worst part, no complementary coffee in the morning. I was blown away when I went down and realized that I had to pay $7.50 for a black cup of coffee. Absolutely crazy.Overall was a pretty good experience,
May 10, 2025 · Ryan MartinisIn on business, I stayed here a few days. Check in service was easy and the person I checked in was super great. Overall the rooms were clean and comfortable. I'm likely to stay here again as it was very convenient to the airport but, if I had anything to say on caveats here:~ Prior to check in I had called several times over several days toinquire about shuttle service. No one ever answered the phone.~ The hallways on the floor where I stayed continually smelled like weed.~ $30 a day for parking seems a bit distasteful for people staying already at the hotel. Understanding that this is a widely used practice in many major cities, I often tend to not repeat a stay when not needing to in order to avoid the parking cost. When working to an expense account for business, management is not often too keen on parking costs at a hotel.
Apr 20, 2025 · Jennifer BergerEveryone at the front desk was nice and friendly. Location is super. It will soon be a DoubleTree and is in transition. While once a grand property, rooms are now outdated. Construction in the lobby / dining area.AC didn't work making it a hot night. I'm sure they would have given me another room, but it was late so we just opened a window. The remote had a huge # of buttons and was difficult to navigate. Hitting the channel up button just showed static. The TV defaulted to full volume when turned on. No options for streaming. Eventually figured out to change channels with the unlabelled arrow pad but channels changed slowly so I gave up.Breakfast for two was expensive (58$ for buffets with the included 18% tip) and powdered eggs (think Hampton breakfast with fancy silverware). There was a generous Hilton honors credit making it more like an 18$ breakfast. Dining area looked good but the tablecloths were dirty, my chair sticky and server was apathetic. All in all not a horrible choice for the price and location but I didn't walk away feeling like it lived up to the nameplate.
