Mahlon Dickerson Campgrounds Reviews
We absolutely love the location. I have family in the area and we love camping. Perfect! Clean facilities, campgrounds are clean and swept up, the fire pit cleaned as well. Since we can’t do fire right now, we have hot packs for bed warning. Tent is toasty and warm on ground or if bad weather comes, we go into the Lean to off ground. We had our small, old lady dog and she loved it! We had kept her on leash due to the coyotes. Be careful as usual when it comes to the wildlife, they were there first. Do make sure you know what hunting is happening and what kind of hunting. They keep guests informed on any restrictions or what weaponry is acceptable for NJ Parks and recreation also fire risk levels. We won’t be cooking on the fire but that is what propane works well for. Excellent campground and staff! Recommend highly! Thank you!
Nov 24, 2024 · diane smithVery convenient location to visit New York and City. Large campsites. Beautiful forest. Very peaceful.
May 19, 2025 · Tunde MonetFantastic little campground. The sites are far enough apart that you aren't on top of your neighbor, and you have lots of beautiful greenery and trees around each site. The trails around seemed really great, but didn't get to explore as much as we wanted due to the heavy presence of mosquitoes. Great facilities that made it easy to fill up on water and dump our tanks. Plus you can't beat the price for a wonderful quiet night sleep and all the amenities that you need!
Jul 29, 2023 · Briana MoodyWe stayed for 2 nights on site 13 . Very nice site , water and electricity on site , bathrooms clean and in good condition. It’s small camp ground but really nice .We were camping in 40 feet Fifth Wheel .
Oct 01, 2024 · Hardev SainiA quiet little campground tucked in the woods. We stayed on the tent side. Only negatives are the restrooms with running water are across the main road on the RV side, and you can’t drive up to the sheltered sites (unsure why they have this blocked off). The best part about the campgrounds is you have access to hiking and biking trails without having to drive anywhere!
