Mandarin Oriental, New York Reviews
Just stayed at the Mandarin Oriental NYC and honestly? It was next-level. From the second I walked in, the energy was luxury but not in a cold, intimidating way—it felt warm, elevated, and super welcoming. Our room was stunning. Spotless, beautifully designed, and those floor-to-ceiling views of Central Park? Unreal. Like, I caught myself just staring out the window like I was in an HBO drama. Everything was so thoughtfully done—from the lighting to the tech to the little details that made it feel more like a sanctuary than a hotel. What really stood out, though, was the service. Every staff member I spoke to was kind, attentive, and just got it. No awkwardness, no fake smiles—just genuine hospitality that made the whole experience feel even more special. Room service came fast and was actually delicious (rare!).Whether you’re visiting NYC for a special occasion or just feel like romanticizing your life for a few days, this place absolutely delivers. 10/10 would stay again.
May 04, 2025 · Kristian IvanovStayed at the Mandarin Oriental in New York, and it honestly felt like a little escape above the city. The views from the room were insane — waking up to Central Park and the Hudson River right outside the window was surreal. The room was calm, super comfy, and had that quiet luxury vibe without being over the top. Everything just worked — from the bed to the shower to the little details. We had dinner at MO Lounge one night, and it was actually really good (not just “hotel good”).Also, the staff were on point — always there when you needed something, but never too much. If you want a quiet but top-notch place in the middle of Manhattan, this is it.
May 23, 2025 · Max ZaharenkovIt was an excellent stay and Carmen was particularly wonderful at the fitness centre. Her own recipe for the fruit juice was delicious and she truly went above and beyond. Christopher at the MO Lounge for breakfast was also fantastic. The hotel is very fortunate to have such passionate and thoughtful staff on the team. We greatly enjoyed our stay.
Mar 22, 2025 · Eric A. W.Had the best afternoon tea in the lobby. Breathtaking views of Central Park and amazing pastries and sandwiches. Good selection of treats and I was pleasantly surprised by the scones and the ginger jam which the server assured me was not too overpowering when I initially declined to have it. It was definitely a good choice to go with. Service and ambiance- 10/10. Price was about $130 or so. But worth it if you love afternoon tea. Can’t beat it for NYC standard. It’s on par with their London Knightsbridge location. Just be forewarned that it’s not unlimited sandwiches, tea and treats like in the UK. My only qualm with tea in NYC. But I’d recommend this place for it.
Feb 24, 2025 · lolita lI love that this hotel is next to Central Park and connected to the shopping, restaurants, and best of all a Whole Foods market! There are so many convenient shopping places and banks within a couple of minutes walk. The view from both the hotel room we stayed (Hudson view) and the restaurant in the lobby(Central Park view ). There is only one restaurant in the hotel but food is decent so we didn’t mind. The staff are all well trained and courteous. Especially the two staff at the fitness center, they were so kind and helpful. We had to buy swimsuits from the fitness because I forgot to pack for the kids. The price was very fair. They also find wearable floats for my toddler and other swimming gear. When we left, the lady gave us a bag of fruits (I was surprised the selection of the complementary fruit at the fitness center was even better than the restaurant lol.) Overall a pleasant stay, despite the room being a little small considering the room price.
