This Marriott property has long been a go-to for many, appreciated for its expansive facilities and brand recognition. While some experiences can vary, as with any large hotel, its sheer scale and reputation mean it aims to provide a comprehensive range of services for both leisure and business travelers. Its role as a major hotel in Downtown Brooklyn positions it as a significant hub for both local events and welcoming visitors from around the globe, contributing to the borough's dynamic atmosphere. We’ll delve into the specifics that make this hotel a notable option in the diverse New York City hotel landscape.
The New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge boasts an enviable address at 333 Adams Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201, USA. This location places it squarely in Downtown Brooklyn, a neighborhood that has undergone significant revitalization and now stands as a vibrant hub for commerce, culture, and residential living.
The hotel's accessibility is one of its strongest selling points, making it incredibly convenient for both out-of-town guests and locals.
Subway Access: It’s mere steps away from some of New York City's most extensive subway lines. The Jay Street-MetroTech station (A, C, F, R trains) is virtually at its doorstep, and the Borough Hall station (2, 3, 4, 5 trains) is just a short walk. This unparalleled subway access means guests can easily reach Manhattan's attractions, other Brooklyn neighborhoods, and even Queens with minimal fuss.
Proximity to Major Landmarks: The hotel's name isn't just for show – it truly is close to the iconic Brooklyn Bridge, allowing for easy walks across for stunning Manhattan views. It's also a very short walk to Barclays Center, making it an ideal choice for attendees of concerts, sports events, or other major attractions held there.
Walkability: Downtown Brooklyn is a highly walkable neighborhood. Guests can easily explore nearby Brooklyn Heights with its historic brownstones and promenade, the bustling shops and restaurants of Fulton Street, and cultural institutions like the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM).
Driving and Parking: For those arriving by car, the hotel offers valet parking, which can be a significant convenience in a dense urban environment like Brooklyn. While parking is available, it's worth noting, as one reviewer mentioned, that there are associated costs, and it's always wise to clarify deposit and charge policies upon arrival. Despite the costs, having on-site parking is a notable amenity for many.
Airport Access: The hotel's excellent subway connections also facilitate relatively straightforward access to all major New York City airports (JFK, LaGuardia, Newark Liberty) via public transit, or a convenient base for taxi/rideshare services.
This prime location and multi-faceted accessibility firmly establish the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge as a top choice for navigating all that New York City has to offer.
The New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge offers a wide array of services typical of a full-service Marriott property, designed to cater to both leisure and business travelers. While specific availability can sometimes vary, these are generally expected:
Accommodation: A variety of room types, often including king and queen beds, city views, and suites, providing comfortable lodging options for diverse needs.
Dining Options: The hotel features on-site restaurants or dining facilities. While one review mentioned a "pantry" and a separate restaurant with a 15% surcharge for in-room food, guests can typically expect breakfast, lunch, and dinner services.
Fitness Center/Gym: The hotel provides fitness facilities for guests. As noted in a recent review, the gym was temporarily located on the 23rd floor, offering an unexpected benefit of city views.
Concierge Services: Staff generally available to assist with directions, recommendations for local attractions, transportation, and booking tours. One reviewer highlighted "All staff are very nice and helpful."
Valet Parking: A convenient service for guests arriving by car, though associated fees apply. "Everything went very smooth our entire stay, including valet parking," a customer commented.
Executive Lounge Access: For eligible Marriott Bonvoy Elite members, there is an Executive Lounge, typically offering complimentary breakfast, evening appetizers, and beverages. However, a review noted that the lounge experience "felt more like a basic 'free breakfast' setup at a budget hotel."
Meeting and Event Spaces: Given its size, the hotel features extensive meeting rooms, ballrooms, and event facilities suitable for conferences, weddings, and other large gatherings.
Wi-Fi Access: Generally available throughout the hotel, though policies on complimentary vs. paid Wi-Fi in rooms may vary based on loyalty status or booking type.
Business Services: Typically includes access to a business center with computers, printers, and fax services.

These services collectively aim to provide a full-service experience for guests staying at the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge, though individual experiences may vary.
The New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge, while offering a standard Marriott experience, does have several notable features and highlights that make it stand out, especially given its location:
Unbeatable Downtown Brooklyn Location: This is arguably its paramount highlight. Being in the heart of Downtown Brooklyn means guests have direct access to a vibrant urban center, with numerous subway lines at their doorstep, offering immediate connectivity to Manhattan and beyond. This saves significant travel time and expense for exploring NYC.
Proximity to Iconic Landmarks: Its name says it all – the hotel is remarkably close to the Brooklyn Bridge, making it ideal for those iconic walks. It’s also just a short stroll to Barclays Center, a major draw for concerts, sports (like Brooklyn Nets games), and other large-scale events, offering unparalleled convenience for event-goers.
Large-Scale Event Capabilities: As a major Marriott property, it boasts extensive meeting and ballroom spaces, making it a prime venue for large conferences, conventions, weddings, and corporate events in Brooklyn. This is a significant highlight for business travelers and event planners.
City Views (Potential): While not all rooms offer them, some higher floors likely provide impressive views of the Brooklyn skyline, the Manhattan skyline, or the harbor. A reviewer even noted that the temporarily located gym on the 23rd floor offered "the best view in the building."
Brand Consistency: For guests familiar with the Marriott brand, there's an expectation of certain standards in terms of room comfort, cleanliness, and overall service. One positive review highlighted the hotel as "clean and very unique," with "everything went very smooth our entire stay."
Dedicated Staff Service (Varies): While experiences can differ, the potential for personalized service, as seen with Melissa at the front desk offering to decorate a room, can be a significant highlight for guests celebrating special occasions. "All staff are very nice and helpful," was also noted.
Despite some criticisms regarding outdated feel or lounge amenities, the core strengths of its location, event capabilities, and brand backing remain key highlights for this prominent Brooklyn hotel.

Business and Group Rates: For corporate travelers or those booking blocks of rooms for events (given the hotel's extensive meeting spaces), special negotiated rates are often available.
NYC Experience Packages: Sometimes, the hotel might partner with local attractions to offer packages that include hotel stay plus tickets to nearby museums, shows, or tours, leveraging its prime Downtown Brooklyn location.
Food and Beverage Credits: While one review mentioned a misunderstanding about a breakfast pass, hotels sometimes offer F&B credits as part of specific packages or as a gesture for loyalty members.
Temporary Gym Access: As noted in a review, the gym was temporarily relocated to the 23rd floor, which, while temporary, offered "the best view in the building." This could be a unique, albeit temporary, highlight.

New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge Reviews
definitely be back to stay at this hotel again. It was such a great experience from the time we walked in to the time we left. All staff are very nice and helpful. When I arrived I notified the front desk that it was my husband‘s birthday and they were very accommodating With an upgrade and to top it off Melissa at the front desk, offered to decorate the room for us while we were out at dinner which was so sweet of her. She helped me decorate the room, so beautiful and did not want anything in return simply to just make our stay special. The hotel was clean and very unique. Everything went very smooth our entire stay, including valet parking. We also got a $30 complementary breakfast pass for the pantry that we thought was a credit. However it wasn’t it was actually charged to us and taken out of our deposit that they actually charged me twice for smh. My deposit was 100 and they took $74 dollars because they basically charged me the 30 dollar fee twice along.
May 25, 2025 · Jubaida JasminDisappointing Experience – Great Location, That’s About ItThe best thing about this hotel is the location—everything else falls short, especially for the price. The property feels outdated and run down, and it's hard to justify the cost, especially with the added "destination fee," which no one seemed able to explain. As Platinum Elite members who’ve stayed at many Marriott properties, this one ranks near the bottom in terms of amenities. The lounge was especially disappointing—it felt more like a basic “free breakfast” setup at a budget hotel than an executive lounge. The staff puts the food away so quick, people were still eating breakfast and with no regard just put it away. Not sure why sense no other food is offered until the evening but he seemed to be in a rush to get everyone out. There’s also a 15% surcharge if you choose to take food from the restaurant to your room. No explanation—just “that’s the policy.” It felt like unnecessary nickel-and-diming.The gym is temporarily located on the 23rd floor, which ironically offers the best view in the building—that’s where the lounge should be. Fortunately, there are decent dining options within walking distance, which we relied on more than expected. All in all, we left feeling disappointed. This hotel doesn’t meet the standard we've come to expect from the Marriott brand.
May 27, 2025 · Chelsie OlmosI can tell you the customer service at this hotel was outstanding. It was my birthday weekend and they made it the best. The bartender Jaime was awesome my lemon martini was done perfectly. Shannon who is my Birthday Twin ensured when I got back to the hotel after a day out in NY I was presented with a cupcake and sang Happy Birthday by the Front Desk staff. I cannot be more grateful and impressed. My only issue was my light in the bathroom would go off and at times I had to wiggle switch but all in all a VERY GOOD STAY. My daughter lives in Brooklyn and this hotel will be my home stay every future trip!!
Apr 29, 2025 · Marcia BryantWhat’s not to love? Walking distance to anything you want. Norm’s pizza spot right outside. Walk to subway is well lit and easily accessible both locations by hotel. A nice walk to the Brooklyn Bridge. Juneteenth Grove was pretty and kid friendly. They have someone to help with luggage if needed, check in was great, everyone nice, many rooms to choose from based on your needs. It was perfect for us.
Apr 21, 2025 · Kim KlugeDespite being a Marriott elite member, not even complimentary bottled water was provided. It was simply a place to sleep.Even though there was a doorman, I always had to open the door myself while pushing a stroller.I’ve stayed at many hotels around the world, but I’ve never experienced service like this.Calling this a 4-star hotel is simply unbelievable.
