Norman Demott Park

Unnamed Road, Oakdale, NY 11769, USA

5.0
This is a little park located right in front of the Oakdale train station on Montauk Hyway. I've driven past this park for so many years and never really took much notice of it until yesterday after riding by it one more time l decided to look it up on Google Maps only to find it hadn't been discovered yet so l found it fitting that this little park that has been right out in the open for all this time and l get to make it my 50th discovery earning me my master trailblazer badge giving me 4 master badges now so on that merit l gave it 5 stars.Out of respect l looked up Norman DeMott and found nothing on him and as for the park as nice and inviting as it looks l doubt it gets much use being on a busy intersection of Oakdale-Bohemia Rd. and Montauk Hyway with the always full railroad parking lot behind it l can't see this park being too accessible. Regardless it still gets 5 stars for reasons stated. - Donald Fitzsimons
