Pennington Park Reviews
Nice park, it has everything from basketball to soccer fields and grass field plus the trail you can walk around with the river right next to it. I especially love the new addition of the calisthenic section. This summer and spring I plan on using it for workouts 💪
Feb 13, 2025 · Eddie MaysRoad leading to the parking lot has too many cracks but it’s nice big fields
May 24, 2025 · Abdur Rahman SayeedWas quite surprised with the renovations! My daughter's graduation was here. So nice to see they cleaned it up. It used to be a place I would definitely avoid. Wish they were able to simplify the traffic problem and add an exit. My only complaint is the traffic backup🤷.
Jun 29, 2021 · Hollye RichardsonBeautiful park with lake view. Green play ground made the park more beautiful. There is also a play ground for children. Big parking lots also has. Here you can some ducks playing around.
Apr 22, 2018 · Md MamunI went to support a special soccer player/team. I am such a fan for soccer. I use that time to simply relax and just Full-joy the moment. However, I think the accommodation for a restroom should be more convenient, and accessible. There are portable toilets which was definitely a turn off for me, especially after my first experience there. I was basically forced to step inside one, because I was unaware of the absence of an in use structured rest room when I had the urge to use the restroom. But then I had to make an immediate u-turn back outside, and find another alternative. Afterwords, I was told they have a structured restroom on the premises which was not open for most of the times I visited. However, it is much further from the stands where one sits to watch the game. I have never been to the structured restroom because it seems so out of range. I normally use the restroom at the convenience store across from the park, not the best, but 100%MUCH better than the portables (before I enter the park, or during half time if I have an urge. I hope to visit the structured restroom one day, as I was told they are now in use and open.Garbage containers are conveniently placed, the stands are pretty clean and the park itself is also.I haven’t seen any violence the multiple times I have been there. I thought maybe there would be idle crowds or such, due to the stigma surrounding the negative behavioral pattern of this city residents called Paterson. But it has always been peaceful and fun, before and after the games. At times I think the referees are bias and cheat some of the players but still the peace is kept 🙏🏾. I normally attend the Sunday games, which carries different play schedules for the teams. The crowd has always been minimal-almost moderate. Not a lot of supporting spectators. However, I always enjoyed the matches played by the more matured men from the various teams. They are very good players and in good shape too. I am a good cheerleader 📣, you will definitely hear me cheering 🎉.At times I would see some Hispanic sellers with water, juice or snacks that is outside of my dietary guidelines. But I don’t worry about that as I carry my own snacks, or purchase from the store across from the park entrance, and the team that I support normally provide food for the team and their supporters, so I would have something if it’s to my dietary preference.
