For those who prefer to avoid direct sunlight, these new trees will mature to provide generous shaded areas, creating comfortable spots for relaxation, reading, or simply enjoying the natural surroundings. This riverside aspect adds a dynamic element to the park's landscape, offering scenic views and a sense of connection to nature. Adding to this distinctive environment is the presence of a Metro-North railroad bridge, which, rather than detracting from the scenery, contributes to its unique character, providing an interesting visual landmark and a subtle reminder of the blend of nature and urban infrastructure that defines the area.

Scout Field Reviews
THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL PARK FOR DOG 🐕 ❤️ 😍 LOVERS!!!When you enter this park, you will see many owners and their dogs. Walking and enjoying the beautiful paths. There is a huge open space at the beginning of the park, which is great for you and your pet to run around. They have planted what seems to be between 20 to 30 new trees, so there will be lots of space for shade for those who hate the direct sunlight. The park is also equipped with several benches for those who want to have a picnic. It is wonderful, sitting in the shade and watching the labradors run around and have lots of fun.
Aug 26, 2023 · SWEET BLOOM STUDIOS NYCScout Field is an Oasis. What a peaceful and lovely park with sidewalks along the Bronx River and the added bonus of a railroad (Metro North) bridge. Great place for dogs—yours and your neighbors’.
Feb 19, 2022 · Carol QuillenConsistently rude and inconsiderate dog owners. Beautiful area that I wish I could enjoy more of without dogs off leash running up to me. When you ask owners to put their dogs on leash (as in follow the rules posted) they are rude to you.
Dec 09, 2023 · Renee BotelhoLarge open grass field adjacent to Metro-North. There is a chain link fence separating the tracks from the park, presumably for safety. Many people bring their dogs and let them off leash. I must note that technically this is not allowed. Although I don't think anyone has complained . There is a trail that runs along the track and then goes under the Metro-North and continues along the Bronx River, which is on the other side of the field. There are some parking spaces available. There are no bathrooms in the park.
