The garden's strategic location offers unparalleled panoramic views, stretching across the East River to the iconic Manhattan skyline, Governors Island, and even the Statue of Liberty, making every visit a picturesque experience.
For locals, Pier 44 is a multi-faceted gem. It’s a place for quiet contemplation, where "the city hums a distant song, but here, tranquility belongs." It's a backdrop for memorable moments, as evidenced by a recent wedding photographer's glowing review: "Despite the rain, the large tree in the garden kept us dry and added a touch of charm to the day. I highly recommend considering this venue for your wedding! The views are stunning, and its location offers so many great options for after the ceremony." This highlights its versatility, from a peaceful retreat to a sought-after event space, all while seamlessly integrating with the unique character of Red Hook.
The garden evokes a sensory journey: "Rust and salt, the scent of brine, where time and tide in harmony align." It’s a space where "children's voices, seagulls' cry, waves that dance beneath the sky" create a lively yet serene atmosphere. "Couples stroll, their fingers laced, in the cool, inviting evening space," affirming its appeal as a romantic and intimate setting. Jun 09, 2024 · Claudio SilvaI had the pleasure of photographing this couple’s wedding here in the spring. Despite the rain, the large tree in the garden kept us dry and added a touch of charm to the day. I highly recommend considering this venue for your wedding! The views are stunning, and its location offers so many great options for after the ceremony. Just a short walk away, you can enjoy a drink at the iconic Sunny’s bar or share a meal with your guests at Hometown BBQ. It’s a fantastic spot for a memorable celebration!! ig @konradbrattke
Dec 03, 2024 · Konrad Brattke (Photography)Another 💎 in Red Hook. The views are amazing and it has beautiful flowers. It has a nice path to walk on or you can just sit on one of the waterfront benches and meditate while enjoying nature. It is very peaceful. It is also dog friendly.
Aug 03, 2023 · Vivianne Barretto5 stars for the sunset view. Also lovely waterfront views of the Freedom Tower, Statue of Liberty and Verrazzano bridge. There isn’t a whole lot of space but it wasn’t crowded at all when I went. Still a hidden gem.
Apr 21, 2021 · CharlieThis Pier area is actually Pier 41. Located behind the old Fairway Supermarket. It is a small park area with amazing views of the Statue of Liberty and the Verazzano Bridge. There is parking available as well. Pier 41 was also the site of MTV's Real World Brooklyn Season 21. Just a little trivia. Various restaurants, bars and bakeries are also within walking Distance. Ikea is about a 5 min drive or 15 min walk away as well.
