Very nice up kept fields, and play areas. If you happen to be staying at any events near here, the parking (which is free) is very nice and close. The only downside is that it is right near a sewage treatment facility so everything smells really, really, really bad. They have nice walking and biking trails for exercise, and they stretch for many miles. All in all, the upkeep is wonderful and I would recommend this park to anyone needing to stretch their legs while in the five burrows or to those who play sports. See for yourself! - Ari Boone

It’s where countless local sports leagues compete, where New Yorkers come to train for marathons, and where families spread out for picnics with stunning views. The sheer scale of the park allows for a multitude of activities to coexist harmoniously, meaning you can always find your own corner of tranquility or excitement, depending on your mood. It’s an essential part of New York City’s recreational landscape, a green lung that provides much-needed respite and recreation for its millions of residents. Location and Accessibility

Randall's Island Park is strategically located in the East River, serving as a geographical nexus that connects Manhattan, the Bronx, and Queens via several bridges. Its official address is 20 Randalls Is Park, New York, NY 10035, USA. While its island nature might suggest isolation, the park is surprisingly accessible, though some local knowledge can certainly enhance your journey.

For those opting for public transportation, the M35 bus provides direct service to the island from Manhattan. It's important to note that while convenient, local users have observed that the M35 can sometimes be slow and infrequent, making walking across the bridge a potentially faster option depending on your starting point and patience. The pedestrian and cycling bridges offer scenic routes onto the island, connecting from various points in Manhattan (like the 103rd Street Footbridge), the Bronx (Randall's Island Connector), and Queens (RFK Triborough Bridge pathways).

One of the most appealing aspects for those driving to Randall's Island Park, especially for events, is the availability of free parking. This is a significant advantage in New York City, where parking can often be a costly and frustrating endeavor. The park’s dedicated parking areas are generally well-situated and close to event venues and popular recreational spots, making it incredibly convenient for visitors arriving by car. While the proximity to a busy highway and a sewage treatment facility has been noted by some as a downside due to occasional odors, the ease of access and ample parking often outweigh this for many visitors. The park’s unique location, while offering great accessibility, also provides a sense of being 'away' from the city, despite being so close, which adds to its charm.
