Promotional information for Saxon Woods Park primarily comes from the Westchester County Parks Department. Their official website and publications highlight the park's diverse amenities, including information on golf course tee times, pool operating hours, trail maps, and picnic pavilion rental procedures. For local users, this includes details on entrance fees, which are applicable for vehicles during peak seasons or for certain facilities like the pool. The customer review that mentioned a dispute over a $5 versus $10 fee highlights the importance of clear communication regarding these operational aspects; while the incident describes an unfortunate encounter with an employee, it also indicates the park's system for collecting entrance fees, which is a common practice for large county parks. The park is promoted as an ideal venue for family outings, corporate events, and community gatherings, leveraging its versatile facilities. Seasonal events, such as holiday celebrations or nature walks, are also promoted to draw visitors throughout the year. The positive customer reviews, such as the one from the "50 Veteran friends" praising the pavilion for reunions, serve as powerful testimonials, encouraging others to consider the park for similar functions. Word-of-mouth and online platforms also contribute to its promotion. Despite isolated negative experiences regarding staff conduct, the overall perception of Saxon Woods Park as a "pretty" and well-equipped "Scenic Spot" for a variety of recreational activities remains strong, drawing consistent patronage from local users seeking outdoor enjoyment and communal spaces.

Aug 13, 2024 · Kenneth ClarkeThis park is pretty but the worker who collects the money who also worked on Sunday august 20th 2023 around 5 pm was the most unprofessional employee I’ve ever seen. I don’t want to pull out the racial card but there was ABSOLUTELY NO REASON for me and my family to experience such lack of respect and mistreatment for having to give $5 instead of $10. We were invited into a reservation party at this beautiful place and didn’t know we had to tell the money collector we had to give him $5 instead of $10 but when we did, HE WENT BERSERK. A normal person would’ve been calm when saying “oh no it’s only a $5 fee instead of $10” but instead this disgrace of a employee decides to yell at us and even said “why is it always you people making my job harder?”. This man is black and we are Mexican which is why I believe that comment was made because what other reason would he have to say “you people”? We (my family and I) stayed cool and collected and only said “okay sorry okay sorry” because we didn’t know what this guy would do to us for absolutely no reason. He was threatening, yelling and made us feel extremely unsafe because if this is how the employees act, how safe could this place actually be? End of the day nothing happened thankfully but this isn’t acceptable. I shouldn’t feel threatened for going into an already reserved and calm function. This place should do better and not because I’m Mexican should I receive such treatment. After leaving that area everything else was “nice” and could even be a nice place for a party (if they ever decide to stop making their customers feel unwanted or unsafe). 🤷🏽♂️
Aug 21, 2023 · Dave EBeautiful park, weird vibe. Seems to be a place where a lot of commuters pull off, and take a break from their drive. Weird Westchester vibes
