Easy to moderate trail for kids, family or anyone . Please keep in mind, Parking is FREE but limited to 15-20 cars. So, be there as early as possible. The enitre loop around the lake , also called sterling lake loop - blue trail, is about 4 miles. This is very scenic trail and good for anytime of the year. There are many entry points to the lake to dip your feet and have fun. Water is very clean and full of various fishes, turtles and other creatures. If you are facing visitor center and go to your left on this blue trail, there is a beach for about 1.7 miles from visitor center.Beach is small and can be used to dip your feet but NO swimming allowed. Also, keep in mind, this is not stroller or disabled friendly trail. So, use your judgement. Boating , kayaking is also not allowed. There are several other trails in the area and map is available at visitor center to find what fits your need. We went during covid, masks are required to get in to visitor center as well as to use the restrooms there.Overall, I would definitely recommend going in here. - guest apj
