The Maritime Hotel Reviews
A fantastic hotel in a prime location, right in the heart of Chelsea and just steps from the High Line and Chelsea Market. The property has been thoughtfully renovated, maintaining its historic charm while offering modern comfort. Rooms (little small) are impeccably clean, with exceptionally comfortable beds and pillows. The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and dedicated to providing excellent service. A cozy, inviting spot for a stay, complete with a great breakfast. I’ll definitely return and highly recommend it to friends.
May 01, 2025 · gaby guriLovely room, although the bed wasn’t the most comfortable. Service was great and the funky style is really cool. You cannot beat the location, every subway line you need is just outside and having access to the High Line and the market comes in handy! Would stay here again.
May 26, 2025 · Hayley McNuttI rather like the Maritime. I've stayed in the hotel numerous times because it's close to an office where I occasionally work. The decor has a pleasant and, well, maritime theme, and the rooms are always clean and have great views of the west side (porthole shaped, of course). Repeat customers will find a bottle of wine and a note welcoming them back. Google, the company that makes this map app, has a giant office across the street, and the High Line and Chelsea Market are also convenient. There's a lovely continental breakfast each morning. Some photos show what looks like a beautiful roof deck, and you might wonder if there's a rooftop bar, but as far as I know there isn't one, and those photos are of one or more penthouse suites. If the hotel ever puts me in one of them I'll be able to confirm and update this review.
Apr 14, 2025 · Ed HoldenRooms are quiet (I was on the 4th floor) and cozy (bed was absolutely great). The interior looks a bit dated, but it's all well maintained.I loved smaller details like a magnetic "Do Not Disturb" sign - instead of the regular door-handle paper sign that always falls down when you open the door.Overall this was a great hotel for a business trip.
May 13, 2025 · Nicolas GolubovicPros: Friendly staff, great location, nice towels.Cons: Terrible room design. Toilet seats that are blocked by the bathroom counter from staying up. Bad lighting that surges with the rattly air-conditioning. Poorly installed rain shower head that is more like having a bucket of water repeatedly dumped on your head. Uncomfortable linens and the worst pillows of any hotel I have been to.Only worth it in a pinch.
