Todt Hill Woodlands is located at Morse Ave, Staten Island, NY 10306, USA. This prominent address places it in one of Staten Island’s most elevated and scenic areas, Todt Hill, which is also the highest natural point on the Eastern Seaboard south of Maine. Its integration within the larger Staten Island Greenbelt system means it benefits from a vast network of interconnected natural spaces.
Accessibility to Todt Hill Woodlands is generally convenient, especially for those traveling by car. The park boasts dedicated parking lots, a significant advantage for visitors, as noted by local reviewers. These parking facilities make it easy for families and groups to arrive without the usual urban parking woes, which is particularly beneficial for those planning picnics or carrying gear for various activities.
However, it's important for visitors to be aware of the terrain when planning their trip. As one reviewer highlighted, "The roads that run through Todt Hill are very steep due to the hilly terrain and the traffic is very busy." While driving provides direct access to the parking lots, pedestrians and cyclists should exercise caution on major roads like 4 Corners Road or Todt Hill Road, as sidewalks may be limited or absent in certain sections. This emphasis on hilly terrain and traffic suggests that while the park itself offers a serene escape, the journey to get there, especially on foot, might require some consideration. Public transportation options via MTA bus routes would serve the general Todt Hill area, but direct access to specific park entrances may still involve some walking on hilly roads. Therefore, planning your route, especially if not driving, is advisable to ensure a smooth and safe arrival at this beautiful natural preserve.

Jun 07, 2019 · Shukhrat MaksTodt Hill is a great place to go hiking, just be careful getting there if you aren't driving. The roads that run through Todt Hill are very steep due to the hilly terrain and the traffic is very busy. There also aren't many sidewalks going along 4 Corners Rd or Todt Hill Rd.
Jan 31, 2023 · Johannes HershewitzIts nice place to hike, you can see a deers and sometimes foxes, in spring and autumn it’s muggy. In summer it might mot be possible to walk everywhere because part of the park is used for the summer camp. So you will see signs: no trespassing. And sometimes you maybe asked to leave the property.
Apr 09, 2022 · Alexander KovmirPleasant trails and many deer. If only there wasn't so much garbage from the Jewish campground it borders I'd visit again. Also, the camp entrance appears on Google but upon arriving there are "private property" signs. Enter from a different side.
