Vassar Field is conveniently located at 60 Byrd Ave, Bloomfield, NJ 07003, USA. A key landmark for locating the park is its position directly behind St. Thomas the Apostle Church and School, which many locals are already familiar with.
For those driving, Vassar Field benefits from a significant parking advantage: a 200-plus-space parking lot, courtesy of St. Thomas the Apostle Church. This ample parking is a huge plus for a park of its size, especially when big games or events are taking place, ensuring that visitors generally won't struggle to find a spot. While one review mentioned concerns about handicapped parking not being explicitly marked, the presence of such a large lot suggests general accessibility, though it's always advisable to confirm specific accessible parking availability if needed.

Its integration with the local school community means that it's often a walkable destination for students and families, contributing to its role as a neighborhood hub. This ease of access ensures that Vassar Field is a practical and convenient choice for daily recreation and community gatherings for many New Jersey residents.

Vassar Field Reviews
Nice park since there aren’t too many people on a day with no games in the baseball field.Has a basketball court, kids can play, swing, slide etc.
Jul 01, 2023 · Mayur BanwasiWe listened to a summer Concert. It's a very nice park. My only complaint is I felt it should have been better lit and would have appreciated a rest room. Also, there was no handicapped parking.
Oct 09, 2021 · Dorothy KarcherClean, and the field is great just wish the bleachers weren’t so far away
May 13, 2024 · Natali ChecoUsed to live across Day Street from Vassar Field. We had lots of memories here. We learned how to rollerblade on the old tennis courts. Played tennis there. Ran our remote controlled cars. This was my son’s first playground. Even taught him how to ride a two wheeler there. We ran around in the field when there weren’t any games going on. The playground is very kid friendly and never worried about my son getting hurt. Hope to visit there again someday.
