Strategically placed benches are also available, particularly in front of the lake, allowing visitors to sit and admire the views in comfort.

While Washington Lake operates as a public park managed by the city's Recreation Department, offering its beauty and amenities to all, it typically does not feature ongoing commercial "promotions" or "special offers" in the traditional sense. Its primary value proposition lies in its inherent accessibility and the natural beauty it provides freely or at minimal cost (e.g., boat rentals). However, it's worth noting that the low cost of boat rentals, ranging from $6-$14, could be seen as an ongoing, affordable "offer" for those seeking a unique experience on the water without a significant financial outlay.
For specific events or community-led initiatives that might offer a unique experience or a special focus on certain activities (like a free fishing day for kids or nature walks), Newburgh residents are encouraged to keep an eye on the City of Newburgh Recreation Department's official website or local community calendars. These resources are the best place to find information about any temporary programs or events that might be hosted at Washington Lake throughout the year.
For those looking to visit Washington Lake or inquire about its facilities, the primary point of contact is through the City of Newburgh's Recreation Department, as they manage the park and its associated activities. While a direct phone number for Washington Lake itself isn't commonly listed, general inquiries can be directed to the City of Newburgh Recreation Department.

Washington Lake Reviews
Absolutely beautiful, idk if they brought the swan in or if it just claims the lake as its own but its the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. The benches are placed perfectly in front of the lake & there are pavilions with shade & plenty of other breathtaking animals to admire. Its extremely clean as well. The park upkeep is astonishing. No garbage at all & its so quiet you could probably hear the swan fart in the water! My classical side came out while writing my book & watching the swan swim & I started playing Moonlight Sonata & almost fell dozed off at the pavilion on my laptop! Wonderful! Absolutely womderful! THANK YOU 1000 TIMES for this beautiful lake❤️

Aug 06, 2018 · Evelyn OlivieriSuch a nice small park to spend lunch time or just take a walk, but it’s almost never open . Site says 7am to 7:30 pm which is absolutely wrong. Abide by the hours posted or not at all. Don’t just open the gates when you feel like it.
