A Garden in Chelsea Reviews
Hubs and I love New York and love this apartment! Just spent 8 nights in the garden apartment, a return stay and a real treat. Terrific neighborhood, close to subway, lots of great shops and amenities nearby. The apartment itself had everything we needed, spotlessly clean, roomy bathroom, very comfy bed. Karen and Paul are the ultimate hosts--very plugged into NYC, very accessible, very responsive, great suggestions (go to the restaurants on their list!), and so friendly. We try to get to NYC on a regular basis and it's great to have the accomodations handled. We'll be back, and back, and back!
Mar 26, 2025 · Diane BourdoBeen coming to this little slice of heaven for many years and would highly recommend a visit. Karen is the BEST to work with and the apartment is very spacious, spotlessly clean and in the heart of Chelsea. The High Line entrance is one block away and the subway entrance two blocks away. You can get anywhere from here. Quiet street with a large park on the corner. The apartment comes with all of the amenities you need for a short term or long term stay. The bed and the pullout couch are both very comfortable. There is a small bodega right on the corner for your everyday needs. Lots of great restaurants are within walking distance. Karen is always welcoming and thoughtful of your needs. We love being "NEW YORKERS" for our stay and what a great alternative to a small, cramped hotel room. LOVE this place and would give it 10 stars if possible.

Dec 08, 2024 · Memories_Gacha 7747The 4 of us (2 adults and 2 kids) stayed for 5 nights at the end of September/beginning of October and enjoyed this cozy place that really felt like being home. Our children had ample room to play games, draw, and spread out on the queen-sized pull-out sofa bed in the large living room, and the bedroom was spacious as well. The sheets and towels were very good quality. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook meals and eat as a family at the dining table. Although we had already planned out our activities, Karen and Paul were full of great tips and guidance - they are both so warm and generous. The subways connected to everywhere we wanted to go, and we enjoyed walking in the beautiful neighborhood. We also felt very safe on this street, which is quiet - and with our white noisemakers we always take on travel, we all slept well every night. We would definitely stay again - thank you Karen and Paul!
Oct 05, 2024 · Rachel SalemiA Garden in Chelsea is an oasis in the middle of Manhattan. Close to everything you need - subway, buses, restaurants, bars, theatre, supermarkets etc etc. Easy walk downtown as well as uptown. Hosts, Karen & Paul, are so friendly & welcoming. They have great recommendations to local highlights & restaurants. Their building is a “home away from home”… the best way to enjoy New York. We’ve stayed a few times & will always come back!
