As a public facility managed by the Village of Mamaroneck Parks & Recreation Department, Bark Park does not typically offer commercial "promotions" in the traditional retail sense. Instead, its "offers" come in the form of accessible amenities and community benefits, though access does require a fee for a key fob.
Here's what locals should know about accessing Bark Park:
- Key Fob Access: Bark Park operates on a key fob system, ensuring controlled entry. This is a mechanism to manage park usage and ensure that all dogs registered meet necessary vaccination and licensing requirements for a safe environment.
- Annual Access Fees: There are annual fees associated with obtaining a key fob for Bark Park access.
- For Village of Mamaroneck Residents: There's a dog license fee (which varies slightly for spayed/neutered vs. unspayed/unneutered dogs) and a specific dog park access fee for the key fob.
- For Non-Village Residents: A limited number of key fobs may be available for non-residents, typically at a higher fee than for residents. This is a crucial point for those outside the immediate village to be aware of, as noted in a review ("A limited number of fobs for non-village residents are available this year. I hope they all get taken up so that more fobs will be made available next year!").
- Licensing and Vaccination Requirements: To obtain a key fob, dog owners must typically provide proof of a current dog license and up-to-date vaccinations (e.g., Rabies, Distemper/Parvo). Dogs over a certain age (often 6 months or 1 year) must also be spayed or neutered.
- Lost Key Fob Fee: There is a fee to replace a lost key fob.
While some visitors might express surprise at a fee for a dog park (as indicated in a review: "Who charges for a dog park?"), these charges contribute to the park's excellent maintenance, cleanliness, and the management of a safe, controlled environment, which are highly valued by regular users.
For the most current information on fees, required documentation, and key fob availability (especially for non-residents), it is essential to contact the Village of Mamaroneck Parks & Recreation Department directly or visit their official website.

Bark Park - off leash dog park Reviews
Clean, well-maintained, with access to fresh water on both the large dog and small dog sides of the park until the winter months. Doggy bag dispensers are refilled and trash bins emptied regularly. Very friendly members - both the humans and the dogs. There is parking behind the water treatment plant as well as off the Post Road. Nearest restrooms for the people are located at the village Parks and Recreation offices. It’s great to be able to bring your kids to enjoy the park - e.g., soccer, baseball, tennis, etc. and exercise your dog in the dog park. A limited number of fobs for non-village residents are available this year. I hope they all get taken up so that more fobs will be made available next year!
