Best Western Gregory Hotel Reviews
By far one of my worst experience at a hotel. Went with multiple guests. One who has asthma and another who just finished chemo. There was dust all over for construction (no warning what's so ever prior to arrival). Was told we will be charged a night and will not get our money back since we didn't cancel within 24 hours even though I clearly stated that it was unhealthy for all guests let alone and asthma guest and immune compromised just finished their rounds of chemo guest. We decide to check out the rooms. I booked to rooms, 1 room had such strong deodorizer smell to cover up the musty and moldy smell and the other room with musty and moldy smell. I go down and tell the front desk and she said "yes many of our guests complain about the smell it is just from the old rug". I kindly asked if we could cancel the room as I am unable to have my guests stay in this condition as it is unhealthy for both of them. She said she needed to ask the manager. So I took out my guests, 1 of them immediately vomited from the strong moldy and musty smell and the other needed the inhaler all night. When I took my guest to the other hotel and came back the front desk said "my manager said I couldn't cancel the room just switch the rooms if we like". I said you do understand all the rooms are like this and you either attempt to cover the smell with strong chemicals or the smell is just there. She said sorry there is nothing I could do my manager would not let me cancel your room. I left being charged in full for the two rooms and want to at least warn any guests who want to consider staying at this hotel. If anyone would like I can send you images of the mold on the window sills and the dust that was all over the lobby.
May 26, 2025 · Wafa EljahmiDon't make the same mistake I did! When we got there, there was trash all in front of the hotel. Their were homeless people right in front of the hotel and down the street. The hotel should have security guards outside. I DID NOT FEEL SAFE AT ALL!My TV did not work for 2 days. I was told it was going to be fixed and no one showed up until 10pm the next day.Around 5pm and the towels were still not changed out. The staff was not helpful at all. I will never stay here again!
May 25, 2025 · NickNot the best Best Western. The place was being refurbished during my stay, this did not impact the stay. Breakfast was poor, no restaurant but plenty of options around the hotel. The rooms are date. The smell of weed through the vent system in the early hours of the morning was off putting.
May 28, 2025 · Pete BunneyOverall, this is a pretty good option for a 3-star hotel. The rooms are mid-sized and clean, and the location is super convenient. Housekeeping came every day, which was great. However, there are a few things management should really pay attention to. For example, you can’t open the windows yourself—you have to ask the staff. In our case, even they couldn’t open it, so we had to leave the door open just to get some fresh air. Not ideal. The internet connection was so bad that it was impossible to watch a film.Breakfast was okay, but make sure to go before 9:30 to find anything. Although it’s supposed to be available until 10:00, they start clearing everything by 9:50. Sometimes there were no fruits left, and we had to ask.One big disappointment was finding out there was renovation work going on. It created some inconvenience, and we really should have been informed in advance. I had even asked before booking if we could leave our luggage after checkout—they said yes, but on the day they refused at first, saying there was no space because of the renovation. Only after I insisted and reminded them of our prior agreement did they finally accept the bags. The staff overall seemed quite indifferent. If they worked on being more helpful and friendly, it would really improve the whole experience.
May 18, 2025 · Heghine MedoyanRude and unfriendly staff. Was giving a room that was being worked on, had to go back downstairs and was giving another room.None stop working in the hallway and elevator.Pieces of whatever they were working on all over the floor.Breakfast was non editable. We went to the 5th Ave deli every morning. Free Breakfast would have been nice.We were on the 3rd floor. You can hear and feel the vibration from the train below us.Will not stay here again.
