Dan Ross Playground Introduce
Nestled conveniently at the corner of 7th Avenue and 81st Street in Brooklyn, NY 11209, Dan Ross Playground stands as a beloved and essential green space for the residents of Bay Ridge. This isn't one of Brooklyn's sprawling destination parks, but rather a perfect example of a vital neighborhood amenity – a compact, well-maintained playground specifically designed with the comfort and safety of local children and their caregivers in mind. Despite its smaller size, Dan Ross Playground punches above its weight in providing a secure, engaging, and clean environment for outdoor play.
For New Yorkers, particularly parents and guardians, finding a reliable and safe outdoor space for children is paramount. Dan Ross Playground fits this need perfectly, offering a distinct advantage due to its thoughtfully designed features. Real customer reviews highlight its strengths: "I bring my toddler here when we get the chance he loves it," and "It's a very small park. It seems to house mostly the kids in the immediate area. It has swings. Two play areas, one for smaller kids and one for bigger kids." These insights underscore its local appeal and tailored offerings.
What truly sets Dan Ross Playground apart is its emphasis on safety and manageability. As one reviewer noted, "What I do like about it is that it is small. You can observe everything and see the child from almost every spot. It is always clean. My fave thing though is the gated entry. Hard for kids to open cause you have lift the lock and heavy push. So not many worries about the little ones exiting into street and you can see all coming in and out. Very safe." This level of detail speaks volumes about its suitability for families, providing peace of mind often hard to find in larger, more sprawling parks.

I bring my toddler here when we get the chance he loves it , they have 2 sides 1 for big kids and 1 for toddler an open area and swings.
Oct 05, 2023 · Jack SparrowIt's a very small park. It seems to house mostly the kids in the immediate area. It has swings. Two play areas, one for smaller kids and one for bigger kids. No bathroom. Benches line the fence and some are on the other side. Plenty of places to sit for the parents. What I do like about it is that it is small. Oct 18, 2022 · Diana (Winjafairy)Well maintained - though the benches can definitely be updated from the worn out wood. 2 sections for different age ranges and the swings are primarily for young children. There's a section of shade and mosquitoes are rare. No water play or fountain. Great option for young kids to enjoy. Right off 2 bus' stop.
Aug 27, 2022 · Kenny LiangIt is a cute playground. It has an area for younger children and older kids. The only negative is it is directly in the sun. There is minimal shade on the playground. However, there is shade by the tables and benches.
Oct 02, 2021 · Jayme Quan-vieAs an adult, it is nice to find a place to sit. The chess tables make good writing or spaces.
