Extremely bare bones. The facility looks like they did a rush job on trying to convert it from the shelter it used to be to the hotel it is now. No breakfast provided (but it says they have a breakfast area). Only two pillows per room, and they won't give you anymore because, as we were told, they didn't have any more. The $100 deposit upon check in was a surprise, especially after I had already paid for my 4 night visit. They take $15 per day for a facility fee. It would make sense to just make the rooms $15 more, as it is not part of a larger parent company. No vent in the bathroom. No ironing board, but there is an iron in the room. Shower door is just half of a glass wall, making it so the bathroom floor gets wet.Nice water and ice machine in the basement. No bugs (that we saw). AC worked well. Bed was fine. Most staff we encountered were friendly. A light burnt out in our room and the staff replaced it pretty quickly. Close to Flushing Ave train station and some good food spots.

The hotel doesn’t provide a hairdryer unless you specifically ask for one. The room comes with only one polyester (wool-like) blanket. There are no down blankets or pillows available. They don’t have a baby bed or an extra bed. So basically, if you are traveling with a child, there is no option for you. If you are with a partner, you have to squeeze together in a very small bed.

Beds are really comfortable and the pillows were really good, so that's a huge plus when staying anywhere! Good sized room and close to Flushing Ave subway station. Would come back for sure.
May 11, 2025 · Alex BI would not stay here again. The construction is new and flimsy, which means you'll hear everything happening in the hallways at all hours. When I stayed here there was a malfunctioning CO2/smoke alarm that went off at 7am two days in a row for hours. When you check in, they run your card for a $100 deposit they say you'll get back. But then they charge a $15 a day "facilities fee." So if you stay two nights, you get back $70, which is shady.

I booked online two months in advance, prepaid, and the hotel staff said they didn’t have any record of payment, so I ended up having to pay twice— I showed them the proof of payment and everything and the staff were completely dismissive and not understanding whatsoever. I had already paid $350 and just to stay in the room I had ALREADY PAID FOR was an extra $250.Every inch of this hotel was shabby. I couldn’t tell if things in the room were dirty or just painted-over damage. We didn’t have hot water in the shower AT ALL for over half of our stay. The room smelled musty and the bedsheets were scratchy, thin, and uncomfortable. The minifridge didn’t work.I hated it here and will not be coming back. There are many other nice options that come out to be less expensive if you take their booking issues into the equation!
