Super 8 by Wyndham Brooklyn Williamsburg Introduce
The Super 8 by Wyndham Brooklyn Williamsburg, located at 193 Cook Street in Brooklyn, NY 11206, is a hotel that aims to provide a budget-friendly accommodation option for travelers visiting New York City. Operating under the Super 8 brand, which is known for its value-oriented approach, this hotel primarily caters to guests seeking practical and economical lodging while exploring the broader "scenic spots" and attractions that Brooklyn, and particularly the vibrant Williamsburg and Bushwick neighborhoods, have to offer. It presents itself as a functional base for those whose priority is affordable access to the city's diverse experiences.
The environment surrounding the Super 8 by Wyndham Brooklyn Williamsburg is distinctly urban and industrial, characteristic of parts of Brooklyn that have undergone significant transformation. Cook Street is situated in an area that bridges the more established parts of Williamsburg with the evolving cultural landscape of Bushwick. This means guests are immersed in a dynamic urban setting, potentially experiencing the grit and authenticity of Brooklyn's working neighborhoods, alongside emerging art scenes, local businesses, and diverse eateries. The proximity to major thoroughfares and public transportation is a significant environmental advantage. Being close to subway lines (such as the L train, which runs through this area) allows for efficient and cost-effective travel to Manhattan and various iconic "scenic spots" across Brooklyn, including Prospect Park, the Brooklyn Bridge, or the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, as well as the more immediate cultural attractions of Williamsburg and Bushwick. While the immediate streetscape may not be traditionally picturesque, its value lies in its direct connection to urban life and excellent transit links, making it a functional starting point for city exploration.
In terms of services, the Super 8 by Wyndham Brooklyn Williamsburg, as part of a major hotel chain, typically offers a standard set of essential services designed for convenience and practicality. Guests can generally expect a 24-hour front desk, ensuring that check-in and assistance are available around the clock. Complimentary Wi-Fi is a crucial service provided throughout the hotel, allowing guests to stay connected, plan their daily excursions, and manage their travel logistics. The brand usually promises a complimentary continental breakfast, though one past customer review noted a lack of evidence for this. This highlights the importance of confirming current offerings directly with the hotel. Housekeeping services are typically provided to maintain cleanliness in guest rooms. The hotel also operates under a pet policy, though customer feedback suggests there might be strict limitations on leaving pets unattended in rooms, indicating a need for clear communication and understanding of these policies prior to booking for pet owners. The presence of staff, even if facing challenges as alluded to in one review ("The staff seems like they're trying their best but there's just so many issues"), implies a commitment to providing necessary assistance. The phone numbers (718) 540-9925 and +1 718-540-9925 provide direct contact to the hotel for inquiries and reservations.
The features of the rooms at Super 8 by Wyndham Brooklyn Williamsburg are designed for basic comfort and functionality, aligning with its budget-friendly positioning. Rooms typically include amenities such as air conditioning for climate control and a private bathroom. Flat-screen televisions with cable channels are standard for in-room entertainment. While customer reviews mention issues like the hot water not functioning properly or abysmal shower drips in the past, a parenthetical "Edit: seems like these aren't problems anymore" suggests that these initial "new hotel" issues (as of September 2021) may have been resolved. The rooms are described as "clean because it's new," indicating a focus on maintaining a hygienic environment. Given its location in New York City, rooms might be compact, prioritizing efficiency over spaciousness. The hotel's status as a "new hotel" at one point also implies that it benefits from relatively modern infrastructure and furnishings compared to older establishments. The provision of accessible rooms and amenities, in line with Wyndham's brand standards, is also a likely feature, though not explicitly detailed in the provided information. The overall design aims to provide a safe, clean, and functional place to rest for travelers on a budget.
From a promotional standpoint for a "Scenic Spot" platform, the Super 8 by Wyndham Brooklyn Williamsburg's primary appeal lies in its value for money and its strategic location for accessing the vibrant neighborhoods of Williamsburg and Bushwick. For budget-conscious travelers, this hotel offers an economical entry point into New York City. Promotional materials should highlight its affordability, contrasting it with more expensive options in the city. Emphasizing its proximity to public transportation (subway access) is crucial, as this directly connects guests to a wide array of "scenic spots" – from the street art and nightlife of Bushwick to the trendy shops and restaurants of Williamsburg, and further afield to Manhattan's iconic landmarks. While customer reviews mention past operational challenges and concerns about pet policy communication, an updated promotional approach could acknowledge that these issues have been addressed ("seems like these aren't problems anymore"), reassuring potential guests. Marketing can focus on its practicality as a "safe place to sleep" and a convenient base for exploring the urban landscape. Offering seasonal promotions or packages tailored to specific events in Brooklyn or Manhattan could also attract guests. For instance, promoting it as a place to stay for those attending concerts, art fairs, or visiting family in the area. The hotel's status as a Super 8 by Wyndham also offers brand recognition and the potential for guests to earn or redeem loyalty points, which can be an added incentive. Despite past issues, if the hotel has indeed improved its services, its core offering of affordability and location remains a strong draw for a specific segment of travelers seeking to experience Brooklyn without breaking the bank.

Super 8 by Wyndham Brooklyn Williamsburg Reviews
The service desk lady was rude. She was combative and gruff. While explaining pet policy she yelled at me when I asked her if we could leave our dogs while we ate dinner only about an hour and it was too hot to have the dogs in the car while we ate. She kept screaming no exceptions, you signed the policy. If you have a dog and are not planning on ever going anywhere you can’t take them don’t stay here…..
May 23, 2024 · Jay KoThis is a new hotel and as of Sept 2021 it is not ready to host actual guests. (Edit: seems like these aren't problems anymore) So much is not working properly. The elevators are a pain. The hot water is not functioning and we were compensated for this but in hindsight it was not nearly enough, and I had to ask for a discount they weren't going to present me with one. The water didn't even work at all in our first room and management didn't know and had to be reminded to look into it. Once we got working cold water The shower was an abysmal drip, it was not easy to bathe. The staff seems like they're trying their best but there's just so many issues. The rooms are clean because it's new but other than that our stay is not as advertised. There's supposed to be free breakfast but I have seen no evidence of any breakfast. I would stay away unless you're willing to deal with many small headaches, hopefully it's all better in a few months.
Jan 22, 2022 · Erik BarnsWe stayed at Super 8 for a week to celebrate New Year and we liked our clean room, the bed is comfortable and soft, the receptionists are nice, you guys they have a nice hot water unlike other comments here. The hotel is a bit isolated but it’s only 5 minutes of walk to subway (L train) which is a plus. We always went back at the hotel late at night and we never experienced any disturbances or anything bad in the street. The only downside they have is the complimentary breakfast (water bottle, yogurt, and few cookies) I hope they could do better than that. But, all in all I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Jan 09, 2022 · MichAnn C.Stayed here as a last resort and would only stay again as a last resort. The hot water wasn’t working which they only let us know when we checked in. The room we were given had no shower water at all and we had to move. And then the water pressure is just slightly more than a trickle in the new room. The on demand movies don’t work, WiFi is sometimes working, there’s no blow dryers in any of the rooms that we stayed in. No clue if the free breakfast that’s advertised online even exists. The elevator doors take about a minute to close and our room keys stopped working halfway through our stay. Also the new stickers are still on all the TVs? It’s like a series of small things that ultimately ended up waisting us a lot of time. The front desk staff also seems mad confused and it takes forever to get a simple thing done. They are trying their best though it seems for the most part. Longest check in process I’ve ever had for such a budget hotel. Plus side is it’s really clean because they’re brand new …. But I don’t expect that will last.
Sep 19, 2021 · Maria Luisa ConlonTwo night stay in December.I called check in with my name & number to say I was coming in late, and was told it's okay. Then when I got off the plane, I had a message saying that my reservation would be cancelled if I don't contact them by 9PM. I specifically told them I would be arriving later than that!?I called back repeatedly since it was still 1HR commute from JFK and no one answered. If they cancelled, I may have ended up at a better hotel, but I was still able to check in 🙃Definition of 'no frills' hotel:Thin wallsNo heat or A/CNo hair dryer in the bathroom. Low water pressure.Thin towels. No hooks for the towels.Phone did not work. Internet slow.TV only had wonky local digital channels and no cableIdk about the breakfast situation, but I feel like I didn't miss anything.I got what I paid for 😶At least the bed was comfortable and the shower had hot water.
