Brooks Lake Parking Reviews
We came to hike around Brooks Lake. The trail around the lake is about a mile. With my not quite three year old walking the whole way, we did it in just over an hour. The whole trail was well maintained, with the first section a wide gravel path, good for biking and strollers. That wide path continues south at the bottom of the lake, but we turned to go around the lake and the path becomes much narrower and has many rocks and roots to step over (or climb over for little kids). The trail was still well marked and clear, but sections passed near washed out areas and once over a little creak, where you had to step on rocks to cross. It was great and easy enough for adventurous littles, but not stroller friendly, and we had to walk single file for much of it. Near the parking lot there is a small dog park, a big and nice playground, the basketball court, baseball field, and two large covered picnic areas. It was a beautiful area and we will be back!
