City Club Hotel Reviews
This place was a nightmare. There was no window, which made the room feel like a dark box. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable – I woke up more tired than when I went to sleep. Worst of all, the walls were paper-thin. I could hear every sound, even when the neighbor was just whispering. There was no peace or rest to be had here. Avoid at all costs. The only good point was having nice staffs.
May 27, 2025 · masoud neshastehrizThe staff and experience at City Club were amazing. We ended up in two different rooms and both were incredible and an easy switch. Rubanna, Jay, and Noble were all wonderful and professional! Very impressed and I’ll be back! The location is unbeatable. I left belongings behind and they swiftly returned them to me, I’m so thankful!
Apr 13, 2025 · Ashlii DyerWe found this with a breakfast dealWe booked a family room for 5 people and it was great you could open a window.Bathroom was clean and spacious even if the WC was super old.Breakfast in the morning was all disposable things but was a light continental breakfastLocation was great though. You could easily walk to times square and central park and all the shops. The place is old - and smells old.
May 01, 2025 · Shanit RaphaelWebsite is not accurate. Many of the amenities indicated are not available or more expensive than indicated. Stayed in a duplex room - the room was very tired - like the Poconos before they tore it down. This may have been a nice place once upon time, but dirty carpets, loose tiles, Dyson air purifiers, free standing air conditioning, wierd doors leading to nowhere, really made this an uncomfortable place to stay. The staff was abrupt and very unapologetic or frustrated with the state of their hotel and its age.
May 27, 2025 · Richard PlotkaThe only good thing about this “hotel” stay was when we left. Upon check in everything seemed fine, the doorman was so sweet and friendly and there was a wait at the desk to check in but we were fine with that, as we arrived right at check in time. As soon as we rounded the corner away from the lobby, however, the smell of air fresheners slapped us in the face. The walls were filthy. The elevator was dirty and dark. Our floor was dark, and to top it off the door to our room DIDN’T EVEN CLOSE!! The room has stains running down the walls, the bathroom was dark and dingy, the bed had black spots on the mattress, and again the smell of cheap air fresheners was so overpowering that my eyes were watering. I’m not normally a Karen, I don’t like to complain, but it was just bad. We stayed in the room for about 45 seconds total before deciding to find a different hotel and we left back down to the lobby to fill the staff in and cancel our reservation. As soon as we started talking to the front desk, you could tell they had head this time and time again. In fact the girl behind us was coming down to do the exact same thing. They told us we could be assured a refund for our two night booking and that the manager was unavailable but would reach out the following day. She didn’t. So before we left the city, we stopped in to talk in person. The manager said that a refund would not be issued and wouldn’t budge on the topic. In total, we have been charged over $700 for a two night stay that was supposed be be $300. Every time we check our account, we have another charge from this place and our reservation was 5 days ago. This place is a dirty, disgusting scam. BE CAREFUL where you book in the city.
