City View Inn Introduce
City View Inn, situated at 3317 Greenpoint Avenue in Long Island City, New York, offers a pragmatic and value-oriented lodging solution for travelers exploring New York City. While not a traditional "Scenic Spot" in the sense of a grand landmark, it functions effectively within this platform category by providing essential services and a strategic base from which to access the city's myriad attractions. With direct contact available via phone at (718) 392-8400 or mobile at +1 718-392-8400, City View Inn focuses on delivering convenience, affordability, and a clean environment for its guests. This objective introduction will detail its environment, the services it provides, its key features, and relevant promotional information, incorporating insights from customer experiences.
The environment of City View Inn is defined by its practical and straightforward approach to urban accommodation. As a hotel located on Greenpoint Avenue in Long Island City, it is part of a bustling, evolving commercial and residential area. While the immediate surroundings are urban, the hotel's strategic placement offers a convenient gateway to Manhattan and other parts of New York City. Customer reviews indicate that rooms are "large enough" and "good size," suggesting that the internal environment of the guest rooms is spacious enough to accommodate guests comfortably, even allowing for an "air mattress to fit without feeling cramped." The emphasis on "clean rooms" contributes significantly to a positive and reassuring internal environment. The overall ambiance prioritizes functionality and comfort, rather than elaborate luxury. Being in Long Island City, the hotel provides access to views of the city skyline, which can be considered an environmental amenity, albeit not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews. The exterior of the hotel would likely be typical of urban properties, designed for efficiency and guest accessibility. The environment is one where guests can return after a day of exploring, finding a clean and sufficiently spacious room to rest and recharge. The general impression is one of a no-frills, practical space that serves its purpose effectively for budget-conscious travelers.
As a "Scenic Spot" that provides corresponding services and goods for sale, City View Inn offers a range of essential services designed to enhance a comfortable and convenient stay. A primary service is the provision of clean and spacious guest rooms, ensuring a comfortable night's rest. Guests can enjoy a "breakfast before 10 am," which is a valuable complimentary service, providing a convenient start to the day. The hotel also provides "parking" on-site, a highly sought-after amenity in New York City, and a "shuttle service to the subway," significantly enhancing guests' mobility and access to public transportation. The staff is consistently described as "cordial and helpful" and "quite friendly," indicating a strong commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction. Basic in-room amenities, such as good "water pressure in the shower," are also highlighted as a positive service feature. While not explicitly listed as "goods for sale," the inclusive breakfast and the transportation services (parking and shuttle) can be seen as value-added offerings that contribute to the overall package that guests "purchase" when booking their stay. The presence of a 24-hour reception (implied by typical hotel operations) would also be a crucial service, providing continuous support and assistance to guests. Although one reviewer noted issues with "Bathrooms doesn't have air extractor" and "fungus in the door and the ceiling," and a "pretty slow" elevator, these points highlight areas for potential service improvement rather than a lack of service provision. The hotel's contact numbers ((718) 392-8400 and +1 718-392-8400) offer direct channels for service inquiries or addressing concerns.
The features of City View Inn are primarily focused on practical comfort and accessibility. The "large enough" and "good size" rooms are a significant feature, providing more space than might be expected for the price point in New York City. The inclusion of a "single air mattress to fit without feeling cramped" further emphasizes the room's spaciousness, a valuable feature for families or groups. The "good water pressure in the shower" is a simple yet often appreciated feature, contributing to guest comfort. The most notable features related to convenience are the on-site "parking" and the "shuttle service to the subway." These two amenities are critical for navigating New York City, particularly for guests arriving by car or preferring seamless public transport connections. The provision of "breakfast before 10 am" is another key feature, offering a convenient and cost-saving benefit for guests. Despite concerns about the "elevator" being "pretty slow" and the lack of an air extractor in bathrooms, these are specific maintenance points rather than an absence of the feature itself. The hotel's location in Long Island City, offering relatively quick access to Manhattan via the "L" line's Morgan Av Station (or similar subway lines nearby), is an inherent geographical feature that appeals to many travelers. The overall impression conveyed by reviews is that the hotel, while "nothing special," provides essential features reliably. It "worth it" due to its combination of location, price, and core amenities. Free WiFi is another expected and valuable feature in modern hotels.
Promotional information for City View Inn would heavily emphasize its value proposition: "perfect location at the perfect price." This core message would appeal to budget-conscious travelers who prioritize convenience and affordability without compromising on cleanliness and essential amenities. Key promotional points would include the "clean rooms" and "good size" accommodations. The "free breakfast" and the invaluable "parking and shuttle service to the subway" would be prominently featured, as these are major draws for visitors to New York City. Testimonials highlighting the "cordial and helpful staff" and "friendly receptionist" would build trust and demonstrate a commitment to guest satisfaction. The hotel's strategic location in Long Island City, offering easy access to Manhattan and other boroughs, would be a key promotional angle, positioning it as a smart base for exploring the city. While acknowledging areas for improvement (like the elevator and bathroom ventilation), promotional efforts would focus on the strong positive aspects that consistently receive praise. Marketing campaigns would target travelers looking for practical, no-frills lodging that delivers on its promises of convenience and value. Online travel agencies and direct booking channels would be crucial for reaching the target audience. The promotional message would reinforce the idea that City View Inn is a "worth it" choice for those who want to maximize their New York City experience without overspending on accommodation, effectively positioning it as a functional and accessible "Scenic Spot" for urban exploration.

City View Inn Reviews
This hotel was nothing special but it was the perfect location at the perfect price. The room was large enough for a single air mattress to fit without feeling cramped. The room was clean enough and there was good water pressure in the shower. The staff was cordial and helpful. And, there was parking and shuttle service to the subway.
Aug 09, 2017 · K J-GMy family and I stayed there 2 nights and We had a great experience, rooms are clean , good size, good price, you can take a breakfast before 10 am , even , the receptionist gave us some recommendations to visit one beautiful place at night, he was quite friendly. There only two things where I think the hotel can improve :1.- Bathrooms doesn't have air extractor and I found some fungus in the door and the ceiling.2.- Pleasee!!! fix or change the elevator, I feel that I lost some years of my life on it!! in other words it's pretty slow.In my opinion, it worth it.
Aug 24, 2016 · Vianneyth VegaThis hotel is something!! It was our last minute book, and we decided to stay here because it was cheap and located pretty close to Manhattan. I am not picky about hotels at all! Clean bathroom, a bed and a friendly personal that's all what I need. I have no worries about this place just because they have Best Western logo. What to say? Don't want to be a nerd. Everything was old and mediocre around. Staff was not friendly. The only thing that I like was a view from our room - MANHATTAN. Next morning I realized how lucky we are because there is a cemetery across the street right behind the hotel, and I guess you have a big chance to get the room with a different nice view...They suggest you a free shuttle to subway station and back (free round trip once a day). So, it was our last day, we came downstairs to check out at about 10 AM (check out time is 12 PM). It was a heavy rain outside, we've got the check and ask for a shuttle. And guess what, the lady which worked this morning told us that we are not guests because we've checked out and we can't use their shuttle. It was the smile in her face, and it was the only time when I saw someone from hotel's personal smiling here. When we told her that it's ridicules, she suggested us to go away. We asked for a manager, he came and told us the same things. When I pointed to him that it's rude, he told me that I have to respect him and a hotel policy! What? Why do I have to respect you, while you are insulting me in front of your staff? He also said " If I gonna do exception for every person like you I'm gonna be out of business!" They threw us away like a garbage, and didn't even suggest to help us to take a cab or pay for their shuttle! You know what, I was not disappointed or angry I was shocked and couldn't believe that we have this kind of "service" in the US, especially in a hotel with "Best western" logo. I've written a massage directly to Best Western about this place.
Jun 04, 2013 · Anna SadovskayaThe entrance is kind of hidden. They offer free rides to the subway. The building had been around a long time. The bathroom door lock was broken. The elevator was really slow. The room was adequate. The free breakfast in the morning was pretty good.
May 22, 2017 · Jeff ThorupThey gave us a two bed room, when we reserved a room with a king bed. The person working the lobby then gave us a room with a king bed, but smelled of smoke. Almost empty roll of toilet paper. The toilet did not flush unless you held the handle. We didn't get the TP we asked for in a reasonable amount of time. We had to wait about an hour for the extra toilet paper. You could only use one electrical device at a time. Two port outlet for a mini fridge, microwave, and TV. At least provide a power strip. Streak marks on the bathroom mirror and TV screen. The furniture was dusty.
