For those interested in hosting private events, such as children's birthday parties, a permit from the NYC Parks Department is typically required. While there's a permit fee, it grants access to the park's resources for a designated period.

De Matti Park Reviews
Always a great park to go to! Love the water play area, the walking trail, playground, and exercise area. Also, I love that this park has bathrooms and they are always clean when I'm there. There is an adequate amount of benches and seating areas as well.
Aug 13, 2024 · Naadira Brown (NaadiraTheKindnessCoach)Very cute park. A friend had their kids birthday here (obtained a permit) and it was the perfect space for a kids party. Only gripe is the restrooms did not have toilet paper so you may want to bring your own if you’ll be there a while.
Jun 10, 2024 · Jorge GranjaIt's a big park, but not well kept. The floors is needed of a power-wash, the big slide is broken and last time I was there, there was yellow liquid at the end of the middle slide. Garbage all over, an older Russian woman smoking tobacco in the middle of the playground with all the kids around. The Parks and recreation's garbage truck came by just to close down the bathrooms.Despite all this, there was a buttload of kids running around, the sprinkle was on and it had been used. The gym area was only occupied by a few kids playing with the equipment.
Jul 08, 2024 · Andres Mm.I went with my 4 years old to the kids and motion toy room several time and they locked the toys inside the room and sitting inside telling us it’s summer we cannot bring any toy out. Another day I came I saw the ladies sitting outside with a table with crayons in front of them and all The toys are inside the room locked . The toys should be put outside even if it’s summer. I went their several times and ladies are focused on eating and drinking pizzas and burgers and tellling us to go we are busy. Today I went there and the 2 women who supervised the room told me that she cannot bring even the small trucks outside. The problem is this that they are lazy and the program must be closed if it’s not benefiting the kids and only an entertainment for the ladies eating and drinking or busy chatting on phone
Jun 10, 2023 · Sanaa DarThis park is great. All fenced in. There's a relatively new playground for the children. There's a water are that fun in the summer. There is an adult exercise section, bike path for all, chess tables near the trees, a garden, and many benches throughout. There is a building in the center of the park which has the restrooms and a play room for the children during the summer for indoor activities. This will be our spot this summer.1 less start because it is on a busy road and parking is difficult. Although they opened the plaza right across they are opening and laundromat and Tacobell which both suck for chidlren ..
