Free Public Access: The park is entirely free to enter and enjoy for all residents and visitors. This is the primary "promotion" – high-quality natural space without a fee.
County-Sponsored Events: Occasionally, the Rockland County Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism may host free or low-cost events, guided nature walks, or educational programs within various county parks, including Demarest Kill County Park. These would be announced through their official channels or local community calendars.
Volunteer Opportunities: While not a financial offer, engaging in park clean-up days or Friends of the Park groups (if active) can be a valuable way to contribute to and benefit from the park's upkeep, offering a sense of community ownership.
Dog-Friendly Policy: For dog owners, the consistent allowance of leashed dogs is a significant "perk," providing a dedicated and pleasant space for their pets to enjoy outdoor exercise, which not all parks offer.

May 03, 2025 · Robert HaibiQuiet park in New City, hard to notice from a moving vehicle. All you see is a parking lot. Park has a great view. But there are too many flies to walk peacefully (at least in the summer). You can go fishing here.
Sep 03, 2017 · S ADeck and drainage renewed as of January 2024. Finally accessible again after much construction time. Enjoy going here. Although the new drainage does look quite terrifying.
