East New York Inn Introduce
The East New York Inn, situated at 2473 Atlantic Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11207, USA, presents itself as a straightforward, budget-conscious lodging option within the dynamic landscape of Brooklyn. As a hotel operating within the "Scenic Spot" platform category, it aims to provide necessary accommodation services, albeit without the extensive amenities or luxurious environment of higher-tier hotels. Its primary offering is a place to stay for travelers seeking an economical choice in New York City.
The environment of the East New York Inn, based on available information, is that of a functional, no-frills establishment. The hotel is located directly next to a train line, which significantly contributes to the ambient noise levels. This proximity to public transport, while convenient for city access, inherently introduces a level of noise that guests should anticipate. The building itself appears to be older, with some attempts at minor upgrades, as noted by past visitors. Common areas and rooms have been described as showing signs of wear, with mentions of unknown stains on ceilings, walls, bedding, and high-touch surfaces. The walls are reported to be "paper thin," leading to noise transference between rooms and from the hallway. This suggests that the interior environment may not always offer a quiet or pristine experience. Parking is a significant environmental consideration, with only four spaces available in the rear and limited availability up front, indicating that securing a parking spot can be challenging for guests arriving by car.
In terms of services, the East New York Inn provides fundamental hospitality. The check-in and check-out process is managed by front desk staff. Positive feedback has been received regarding the hospitality of some staff members, such as Harpal at check-in, who was described as "detailed and very helpful." The overnight staff has also been accommodating, for example, approving front-of-hotel parking when the rear spaces were full. Additionally, some guests have praised the accommodating nature of two other staff members and a cleaning service female. These positive interactions suggest that the hotel staff generally aims to assist guests, even amidst other operational challenges. Standard hotel services like providing towels and washcloths are available, though their condition has been a point of concern for some guests, with reports of hair on linens and dirty tubs. The hotel does offer Wi-Fi, which is a common amenity for most modern accommodations, though its quality or consistency is not specified in the provided reviews. There are no indications of on-site dining or extensive recreational facilities, aligning with its positioning as a basic, budget hotel.
The features of the East New York Inn are primarily focused on providing basic lodging. The hotel has a limited number of parking spaces, which is a significant feature for guests traveling with vehicles, often necessitating creative solutions like front-of-hotel parking approvals. The rooms themselves include standard amenities such as a bed, a shower/tub, and potentially other basic furnishings. However, their condition, particularly concerning cleanliness, is a recurring theme in guest feedback. Stains on various surfaces and unclean bathroom fixtures (like tubs) are noted features of the rooms. The "paper thin walls" are another distinct feature, directly impacting the guest experience through noise from adjacent rooms and the hallway. Despite these challenges, the hotel aims to offer an affordable rate, which for some travelers, may be the primary determining factor for their stay in a high-cost city like New York. The presence of a 24/7 front desk (implied by the 24/7 approval of parking) is a common feature for basic hotels, providing accessibility for late check-ins or emergencies.
Promotional information for the East New York Inn, based on the provided data, would center on its affordability and its location in Brooklyn. For travelers seeking a low-cost option, particularly for short stays, this hotel might be considered. The availability of staff willing to assist with issues like parking suggests a level of customer service, which can be a promotional point. However, direct promotional material for the hotel would need to address the significant concerns raised by past guests regarding cleanliness and noise. For instance, if the hotel were to promote its location near public transport, it would inherently also promote the accompanying noise. The "Scenic Spot" category for this hotel implies it offers a service (accommodation) that facilitates access to the broader "scenery" of Brooklyn and New York City. The hotel's direct phone numbers, (718) 485-0006 and +1 718-485-0006, are the primary means of contact for inquiries and bookings. Given the strong negative feedback on cleanliness and noise, any objective promotion would need to be very carefully worded to manage guest expectations, perhaps by explicitly targeting travelers who prioritize extreme budget savings over comfort and pristine conditions. The reviews suggest that while it fills a niche for very budget-conscious travelers in a city with limited affordable options, it comes with significant trade-offs regarding the quality of the stay.

East New York Inn Reviews
Pros:Good hospitality received from check in staff member (Harpal). He was detailed and very helpful. The overnight staff male member approved us parking st the front of the hotel because the four parking spaces I'm the rear were all occupied. The young lady at check out was not friendly. The two staff and one cleaning service female were accommodating and the best part of the stay.Cons:Parking: 4 spaces in the rear, one available up front by the main entranceRooms: Unknown stains from the ceilings, walls, bedding, and high touching surfaces.Noise: The hotel is right next to a train lineWalls: Besides being dirty, they are paper thin.I would not stay there again, would not recommend. The hotel seem old and a few minor attempts to "upgrade" I normally travel with my own pillow case and covering along with long pajamas. I wore my pool shoes in the shower, view the photos and you'll see why. With limited decent hotels at a good rate in Brooklyn, I decided to stay here. However I will week other hotel locations for my visit in November. View photos and decide for yourself. If the stains were not there I may have given the loca a 3 star. Thankfully my stay was only for one night. Best of luck.
Sep 22, 2022 · Vegan VibesParking is very small. Only up to 5 cars can park. At the desk, told him I had reservations. He took his sweet time (I'm standing there for 10 mins). Had to do another scan on my card (the first copy was bad). The whole way to the room, it was quiet. The room doors were kinda different but the room is nice. Around 7pm or 8pm, kids were playing around in the room. You can hear them through the walls. Couldn't tell which room but did hear one in the hallway. Went to take a shower, the tub is dirty (no one cleaned the bottom part) and the wash clothes, hand towels and regular towels all except one had hair on them. I even found a single piece of hair where you would put the soap on. Not sure if I'm coming back
Nov 03, 2022 · Lovell R!l3yThis place is pretty gross. Their machine to sign wasn't working, so they had to send me to the room without signing and call me back. They gave us a room in the basement that had vomit on the floor and bed that was obviously dried and not cleaned. When I told the receptionist he told us to stay in the room and wait for him to call to change rooms so we had to stand in a room with vomit for at least 20 minutes and I know if I hadn't taken pictures they would have called me a liar. It was also on the walls, and I'm not sure how they could have missed this and given it to someone to sleep in. The rooms are mediocre at best by the way so book at your own risk.
Feb 10, 2023 · AsiaAs long as you dont mind the train outside your window🙃🙂. It's not terrible. Service is good. Haven't had their breakfast yet, but it has a clean bathroom, cable, free wifi, king size comfy bed, desk, fridge w freezer, ice, plus you are in the middle of everything and FREE PARKING!! It's my first time in NY and so far so good 👌
May 27, 2022 · Manda PandaGood clean smaller modern rooms with inexpensive rate. The location is a very dark area (there is a bus hub nextdoor so frequent evening traffic) under a train overpass close to the LIRR. ONLY STREET PARKING keep that in mind when booking. Staff was attentive and quick responding. Overall Good experience.
