It was Field Day for our students, and we had big fun. It was my first time visiting this park. It was in the late morning that we arrived, and the ground crew was busy trying to clean up the field. I hear it's very busy in this area in the late afternoon & evenings. It's a popular spot for the Dominicans to congregate and hang out with their peops. It's by the Hudson River, so there's a nice breeze passing through. It was a large open field to play outdoor games. We brought blankets and had lunch picnic style, which I really enjoyed, because it brought back fond memories of childhood with my church families 🥹.We ate our package lunch under a blackberry tree, like one big happy family. It was cool because parents & family members accompanied our classes. The weather was perfect and most of all, the children had the best time ever🏐🪁🎈🎉🧃🍒🍓🥪🥗 - Lynn E. Brice (HarlemzFlyGirl)

As a public park under the purview of the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation, Fort Washington Park focuses on providing free and accessible recreational opportunities and green spaces for all residents and visitors. Therefore, it does not typically offer commercial promotions, discounts, or special offers in the same way a retail business would. The "promotions" from such a public entity generally come in the form of free community events, public programming, or seasonal activities that are open to everyone. These types of events are designed to enhance the public's enjoyment and utilization of the park's facilities and natural beauty. Examples might include free fitness classes, guided nature walks, cultural performances, or family-friendly festivals, all of which are offered at no cost to attendees. While there aren't ongoing commercial deals or loyalty programs, we highly recommend checking the official New York City Department of Parks & Recreation website or local community calendars for Washington Heights. These resources are the best way to stay informed about any free programs or special occurrences that might be taking place at Fort Washington Park. Participating in these community-focused events is the primary way to engage with and benefit from the "special offers" provided by a public park, enriching your experience and connection to this wonderful urban oasis.
