Freedom Park Reviews
Calvary Chapel had their church picnic here, and it was an overwhelming success. It is a better environment than where we used to have our picnic. It has swimming available as well.
Aug 27, 2024 · Robert CaporaleVery nice park with good landscaping. Well-equipped playground. Pavilion for rent seats well over fifty attendees. On the lawns are stationary grills, and there is a pond in which visitors sail remote-controlled sailboats. On April 25th, 2022 Dutchess County's chapter of Moms for Liberty convened here.
May 25, 2022 · Daniel DonnellyWent today for a day trip to get some fresh area and was very pleasantly surprised at everything offered. There was ample parking (it is in the grass, but I didnt mind), a baseball field, very nice playground, very clean bathrooms (was immaculate when we went in, I almost couldn't believe it), and a great kids hiking trail! We went for the Little Woods trail and it was perfect. Trail was clear amd mostly level (there is a small hill about mid way and a few sections of uneven ground, but very duable) and had a bunch of fun educational signs and kid activities along the way. It was maybe a mile or a mile and a half but with stopping (there are benches along the trail to sit and rest if needed) it took about 2 hours to complete with a 4 year old. The trail is in the woods so sun wasnt an issue. It was quite peaceful as well. There is a lake there for swimming but only pass holders or day pass holders who are residents are allowed, which is the only reason for the 4 stars. Overall great place, will go back again soon!
