Hackensack River County Park Reviews
the place is calm and quiet. It has lot of places to ait and do your work or just relax. very beautiful.
Jun 22, 2024 · Deepanshi BansalYou can see the true beauty of this place even under all of the fallen leaves. It is not kept well but it's clear this was once a truly magical place. With all the leaves having fallen the paths were not totally clear but we followed the benches that lined the paths. Looks like this place used to be a true gem. Can we please fix it up? Let's get a few boy scouts in the park and take the trees off the picnic tables and clean up a bit. It really doesn't need much- just a little love.
Nov 20, 2023 · Natalie MahonyBeutiful park around my home. I just hoped it has longer boardwalk. Please be care if you go there in summer season, a lot of ticks at there.
Jul 31, 2024 · Sakai MuneyukiCame here on a Thursday 330 pm in afternoon and no park, Gates locked to entrance. No sign naming the entrance to park. Looks like an abandoned area, it's behind a supermarket. No people entering or leaving either. Closed and gated.Sign on rightside says use riverside square park entrance instead. Don't know where that is, please inform if you found entrance.
Oct 05, 2023 · lex luthurI've been coming down here for years, mostly in the winter months to photograph the Bald Eagles that frequent this location. The park is in shambles! The structures are literally falling apart and are unkept! One area of main concern is the main deck directly behind The Shops at Riverside. It poses a great safety concern for the hundreds of people that visit it. The deck is slowly collapsing and is visible as it is obvious. I have contacted the parks division a few times and nothing is or has been done to rectify this safety issue. Something needs to done before this deck collapses, especially if people are on it. There could be death or injuries due to the neglect of this issue. I will try and make contact one more time withe the parks division to see if I can get some action. If not, then I will go to the press. All in all, the park is an awesome place to view wildlife, fish, take photos or just to relax as many do. Unfortunately, it's going to take someone getting injured or even die due to the lack of maintenance this park deserves.
