We’ll delve into its amenities, accessibility, and what you can expect during your visit, providing a factual and engaging guide to help you make an informed decision.
The Hampton Inn & Suites Newark Airport Elizabeth is not just another hotel; it's a part of the local landscape, serving the needs of the community and travelers passing through our vibrant state. Understanding its offerings can be incredibly beneficial, whether you're a seasoned traveler or simply looking for a convenient option close to home. Let's explore what this hotel has to offer.
One of the most significant advantages of the Hampton Inn & Suites Newark Airport Elizabeth is its strategic location. Situated at 100 International Blvd, Elizabeth, NJ 07201, USA, this hotel is perfectly positioned for those utilizing Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). For local residents, this means an incredibly convenient option for pre-flight stays, especially for early morning departures, eliminating the stress of a long commute at odd hours.
Its proximity to a major transportation hub also makes it an excellent choice for welcoming visiting friends and family. Guests flying into EWR can quickly and easily reach the hotel, often via the hotel's shuttle service, making their arrival seamless. The "International Blvd" address itself hints at its connection to airport-related activities, making it readily identifiable for those familiar with the area around EWR.
Beyond airport access, the hotel's location in Elizabeth places it within reach of various local attractions and business centers. While the primary draw for many is its airport convenience, locals will appreciate its accessibility from major roadways, making it simple to navigate to and from the hotel, whether for a stay or to pick up/drop off guests. The ease of access is a key factor in its appeal, reducing travel time and hassle for everyone.
While direct public transportation links might require a short taxi or ride-share from local transit hubs, the hotel's emphasis on airport shuttle service addresses a significant need for travelers. This dedicated service enhances its accessibility for those arriving by air, making it a truly "local" convenience for anyone in New Jersey with travel plans out of EWR.
- Airport Shuttle Service: A key offering, particularly useful for guests flying in or out of Newark Liberty International Airport. While experiences with the shuttle service can vary, its availability is a significant convenience.
- Complimentary Breakfast Bar: Standard at Hampton Inn properties, this amenity provides a convenient and often cost-saving start to the day for guests.
- Fitness Center: Equipped for guest use, providing an option for maintaining exercise routines while traveling. It's noted that equipment, such as a Peloton, might require specific setup or pedal types, so guests should be aware.
- Free Wi-Fi: Essential for both business and leisure travelers, allowing guests to stay connected.
- Parking Facilities: Offers parking, which can be particularly advantageous for those seeking an alternative to expensive airport parking, with options for week-long parking deals.
- Clean Rooms: Guests generally report rooms as being clean, offering a comfortable environment for rest. However, some guests prefer to take additional precautions, such as wiping down surfaces.
- 24-Hour Front Desk Service: While the quality of service may vary, the availability of a front desk around the clock is crucial for guest support and check-ins at any hour.
- Proximity to Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR): This is undeniably its top feature, making it a prime choice for airport-related stays, including layovers, early departures, and late arrivals.
- Value for Money (especially with parking deals): For those needing long-term parking in conjunction with a flight, the hotel can offer a more economical solution compared to airport parking directly.
- Brand Recognition and Standards (Hampton Inn): As part of the Hilton family, the hotel is expected to adhere to certain brand standards for cleanliness, amenities, and service, though individual experiences may differ.
- Well-Equipped Gym: The presence of a gym with various equipment, including a Peloton (albeit with specific pedal considerations), offers a valuable amenity for fitness-conscious travelers.
- Standard Hampton Breakfast: The consistency of the breakfast offering is a highlight for many guests, providing a reliable and familiar start to their day.
- Family-Friendly Amenities: While not explicitly listed, Hampton Inn properties typically cater to families with amenities like free breakfast and comfortable rooms.
While specific, current promotions are best confirmed directly with the hotel, Hampton Inn & Suites Newark Airport Elizabeth frequently participates in Hilton Honors programs and offers packages that can be highly beneficial for guests. For instance, travelers often find "Park & Stay" packages that combine a night's stay with a week of parking for a price that can be more competitive than airport parking alone.
Additionally, it's always worth checking the hotel's official website or calling their reservations line directly to inquire about any seasonal discounts, corporate rates, or special deals that might be available. As a local New Jersey resident, being a Hilton Honors member can also unlock exclusive member-only rates and benefits, so it's a worthwhile consideration if you anticipate frequent stays at Hilton properties. Keep an eye out for promotions around holidays or peak travel seasons, as these can often provide significant savings.

Beyond personal travel, the hotel is an excellent choice for hosting out-of-town guests. Family and friends flying into EWR can easily access the hotel via the provided shuttle service, offering them a comfortable and convenient base close to the airport upon arrival. Hampton Inn & Suites Newark Airport Elizabeth Reviews
After our flight was canceled we needed a hotel for the night. After positive experiences at other Hilton brand hotels we chose this one because it had a shuttle. With no information on how to catch the shuttle I called the front desk. The receptionist was very rude when I asked her where to catch the shuttle. Her response was for me to ask someone at the airport. That should have been an indication of what level of service I would get at this hotel. The shuttle bus showed up on time, but the van was dirty and had the engine check light on, which concerned us. The driver then played somewhat loud rap music on the radio, which I thought was not appropriate for customers that are an aging couple. Upon arrival at the hotel, we immediately noticed the hotel floors were dirty, and the receptionist was talking in a rude manner to another guest checking in. Very unprofessional and unpleasant service. We got to our room, which appeared to be fairly clean, but we wiped it down with Clorox wipes anyway to be safe. We found the toilet was functioning erratically and seemed to run for long periods of time after flushing. I did not notify the front desk as it was already late. There was a large group of people talking very loud in the hallway for a long period of time. Nothing was done by the rude receptionist to rectify the situation. I cannot recommend this hotel nor would I stay here again. Shame on Hilton for not ensuring this hotel meets the Hilton brand standards.
May 04, 2025 · Mr&Mrs Smith38I was looking for a place to stay for an early morning flight, and found this Hampton at a great price, and that it offered a week of parking for cheaper than the airport, and a shuttle. So a decent deal. The room was clean, the breakfast bar was standard, and the gym was well equipped, though the Peloton there was not correctly setup and had Delta peddles instead of the normal hotel version peddles
May 30, 2025 · Benjamin BrownShuttle from the airport was difficult to find, very nice driver, dropped us off at the hotel across the streetWoman at the front desk was very rude, not helpful at all. Morning, person at the desk was not helpful at all either. They need to find someone to work at the front desk who cares .Room was nice, plugs at the desk didn’t work, hard to get phones, computer and watch all charged up for next day.Raining the next day, downpour, front desk person not helpful at all in finding transportation to the mall. Only very short distance away, easy walk but heavy rain. Again, they need to fire some front desk employees.Overall, just a 3 star hotel with poor front desk employees, get past that and ok place to stay for the money and location.
May 22, 2025 · Matthew CurryMay 2025, I stayed 2 nights at this property and I wasn’t happy because I didn’t feel valued as a gold member & worst experience ever.Last year April 2024, I stayed 2 nights at this property and everything was good so this why I chose to stay here again but I will select other options in the future. On 5/6, when we arrived at the Hampton Inn, the majority of the parking spaces for check in was blocked off and we parked in the only open space. We checked in dropped off our luggage then about 15 minutes later we got a call from the front desk asking us to move the car because of a supposedly of a photo shoot. The outside of the hotel looked terrible. The grass appeared as they were planting or laying sod everywhere. How is it possible that the hotel only has 1 open parking space for check in? Needless to say we moved the vehicle because we didn’t want any problems. Also we had to take the rental car back to the airport so we didn’t park overnight. After checking into the hotel, the employee didn’t offer me the snack bag and I didn’t receive any info about the breakfast hours. Later that evening after dropping off my rental car at EWR airport, I called the hotel 3 times.Twice I was put on hold and after several minutes, I hung up. The third time, I called I was told there’s only 1 person working the front desk & it was very busy so that’s why the phone calls wasn’t being answered. Then I was told we had just missed the transportation shuttle service. The transportation service took well over an hour. My husband & I set outside EWR P4 shuttle area from 8:30pm until 9:45pm. Several companies Doubletree, Embassy, Marriott & Renaissance & the other Hampton Inn Company had come round P4 at least 3 to 4 times before the Hampton driver for Elizabeth arrived around 9:45pm. I couldn’t believe it took that long for the shuttle service to come & this was highly disappointing. In the room, the chair at the desk is absolutely nasty. How is it possible that your cleaning staff does not take the initial to have the chair cleaned? Does housekeeping management staff ever check behind the cleaning staff to ensure the rooms are being properly cleaned? As a gold member, I used 65,000 points and paid cash for our 2 night stay and unfortunately I do not feel the points or cash I paid was worth staying here.Upon check out, I noticed I was charged $20 for parking. So the question is why was I charged when I didn’t park a vehicle overnight? Also, I never used my room key to the access the parking gate. I went back into the hotel to get the parking charge removed but it still wasn’t taken care of. I had to call the hotel regarding the refund for the parking charge because the charge was still on my card. I had to file a dispute on my credit card to get the parking charge removed. The staff is obviously confused as to whether transportation service is offered to Cape Liberty Bayonne, NJ. I received 2 different responses on 5/6. On 5/8, I asked a third person & I was told transportation was provided to Cape Liberty.Last but not least, it seems this hotel is operating on limited staff in the evening which has an impact on the customers as well as your staff having to deal with frustrated customers. Unfortunately, I did not feel valued and I’ll certainly reconsider other lodging options when I visit Newark, New Jersey in the future.
May 26, 2025 · Robin WilliamsHorrible customer service attention. Arrived in the evening. Called for the hotel shuttle, they never arrived, we waited for more than an hour. Had to take additional transportation to the hotel. After calling multiple times, the fromt desk receptionist stopped answering the phone. After we arrived, the front desk receptionist had a horrible attitude. The following day, no hot water, the water was super cold. Again in the morning, different front desk receptionist, on her phone, and not paying attention to you. Definitely do not recommend.
