The Residence Inn brand is well-known for its focus on extended stays, meaning guests can expect more than just a bed for the night. This hotel is designed with the idea that travelers might be staying for several days, weeks, or even longer, offering suites with separate living, sleeping, and dining areas, along with fully equipped kitchens. This setup is incredibly beneficial for families, individuals on relocation, or business professionals undertaking longer assignments in the New Jersey area. It allows for a more relaxed and self-sufficient stay, which can be a significant advantage when you're away from home for an extended period.
While the primary focus is on extended stays, the Residence Inn Newark Elizabeth/Liberty International Airport also serves as a practical choice for shorter visits, especially given its proximity to EWR. For New Yorkers and New Jerseyans, the convenience of a shuttle service to the airport, combined with the comfort of spacious accommodations, can make a real difference in reducing travel stress. It’s a versatile option that adapts to various travel scenarios, providing a reliable and amenity-rich experience right in our local community.

The "International Blvd" in its address hints at its direct connection to the airport's infrastructure and major transportation routes.
For those traveling by air, the hotel's proximity to EWR is a significant advantage. It typically offers shuttle services to and from the airport terminals, easing the burden of transportation for weary travelers. This service is a key feature for anyone, whether a New Jersey resident catching an early flight or an out-of-state visitor arriving late, looking for seamless transit.
Beyond the airport, the location in Elizabeth, NJ, provides convenient access to various local attractions and amenities. The hotel is noted to be close to "Jersey Mills," which likely refers to The Mills at Jersey Gardens, a large outlet mall known for its shopping, dining, and entertainment options. The review also mentions a short walk to the mall, though it advises caution for pedestrians at intersections, a common urban consideration.

Residence Inn Newark Elizabeth/Liberty International Airport Reviews
Room wasn’t clean at all. Sink had soap scum and toothpaste. Shower had dirt stains. Was traveling with my mom and elderly friend who needed a toilet seat with handle. They brought one that was FULL OFF URINE on it. Asked them if we could get another, said they would bring it but never did.
May 21, 2025 · K DI stayed here for an evening. The hotel lobby seems to be newly renovated. Very spacious dining area. The hotel offers flavored water at the entrance. Staff that I encountered was very friendly. I rated the service 3 stars as I waited over an hour for the hotel shuttle and I called the hotel twice to verify. The location is close to Jersey Mills. A short walk to the mall but you must watch out for cars turning at the intersection as they don't look for pedestrians even if you have the walk symbol. My room on the end floor backed to the parking lot. There is a truck lot back there and it was really noisy with the trucks back up signals being heard overnight. My room was old but the amenities were good. The temperature control didn't work and it was super warm. Even though we turned down the temperature. We ended up turning it off. Complimentary breakfast was decent compared to others I had with lots of different options. I didn't find bugs in my room but the room was dated.
Dec 12, 2024 · Jie HuangDuring my month-long stay at Residence Inn Newark Elizabeth, a sentimental item was taken from my locked room—one that meant a great deal as it was a gift from someone who is no longer with me. I reported it immediately on February 19th, yet staff failed to document it until the 21st and never followed up unless I pushed for answers. Instead of taking it seriously, they dismissed me, with one saying, “We aren’t responsible for what is lost in the room.” The hotel’s lack of security was alarming—staff admitted there were only two cameras in the entire building, a coworker’s package went missing, and another had a stranger walk into her room while she briefly stepped out. I felt unsafe, ignored, and unwelcome the entire time, with staff like Pascale and Ricardo being particularly rude and unhelpful. This hotel showed no accountability, and I would never stay here again. Also there is no pool. Usually our company will put us in a hotel with a pool. Apparently according to staff they haven't had a functioning pool in 5 years. My room was dirty upon arrival. I was also given false information about fees and they just attempted to overnight charge the additional fees without any additional conversation. Any follow-up had to be initiated on my end.
Mar 16, 2025 · Jae JasminStayed at the Residence Inn Newark for one night. Location was convenient - close to airport and Jersey Mall. Not sure if it was shift change or what but we waited an hour for the airport shuttle. Spoke to hotel twice and they said 15 wait only. We saw all the other hotel shuttles come two or three times before we saw ours the first time. Rooms looked clean but tired. We were on the second floor by the parking lot and there were trucks beeping all night long (reversing).I was very impressed with the breakfast options - lots of great options with some very yummy hot options. I would be tempted to stay at this hotel again because of the great breakfast. But there are quite a few hotels that had better airport shuttle service with the same convenience in location to what we were doing.
Dec 12, 2024 · Jennifer HuangRooms were cool, shuttle bus drivers sucked. They came when they want to and had us waiting for a long time a lot. Had to catch other hotel shuttles. Hotel staff lied about why they charged my card when my job paid for our rooms, trash around the facility and I never got my Bonvoy points and I said there for 3 weeks. I wouldn’t pay to stay there but overall it was cool for what it was.
