IHG Army Hotels operates properties specifically tailored to support military communities, and the Beat Navy House - Historia is part of this commitment. This means the accommodations are often designed for longer stays or family visits, offering amenities that go beyond a typical hotel room. While experiences can vary, the intention is to provide a welcoming and functional environment for guests associated with the Academy. The concept of "Historia" suggests a connection to the rich past of West Point, potentially offering a sense of place and heritage to your visit. For New Yorkers looking to immerse themselves fully in the West Point experience, staying on post can offer unparalleled convenience and access to facilities.

When it comes to accessibility for New Yorkers, visiting any location within West Point, including the IHG Army Hotels Beat Navy House - Historia, requires adherence to the military installation's entry procedures. All non-Department of Defense ID cardholders (general public visitors) must first go through the Visitor Control Center (VCC) to obtain a Local Area Credential (LAC) or enter with an escorted visitor. The VCC is situated at 2107 New South Post Road, West Point, NY 10996. It's advisable to check the official West Point website for the most current entry requirements and hours of operation for the VCC before your visit. For transportation to West Point, driving is a common option from the New York metropolitan area, offering scenic routes through the Hudson Valley. Additionally, Short Line Bus provides direct service from the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan to the West Point Visitors Center, which is a convenient way to reach the area without a car. While there isn't direct Metro-North train service to West Point itself, nearby towns like Garrison and Peekskill have train stations, from which taxis or ride-shares would be necessary to reach the Academy and the hotel. Due to the unique nature of its location on a military installation, planning your entry and transportation in advance is crucial for a smooth arrival.

Aug 31, 2024 · Non yaSecond time staying here in 2016 for my graduating sister at USMA. Both times tv does not work and shower leeking from bottom with low shower pressure. Asked staff multiple times to refill coffee and bring up roll a way bed but unable to do so. Got yelled at for making own coffee and and my sister, second liuetenant is sleeping on the floor bc unable to accomodate. Would recommend families stay elsewhere near campus. Very poor stay here and very unhappy with staff.
May 22, 2016 · Sabrina BudnerGot a family suite for 3. Decent room.Convenient location if you visit USMA site.Continental breakfast incl cereal, bread, muffins, yogurt, egg and juice.Free coffee is available 24/7, but room service will come upon request.
Dec 07, 2015 · Takaki MimuraI’d leave a zero star if I could. These rooms were somewhat rough when we were stationed here in the mid-2000s, but DoD still controlled pricing. Now you pay per deim rates but get flea-bag quality. Shame on IHG Army. This room wouldn’t be acceptable as a flop-house. It certainly isn’t what one expects at our Nation’s Military Academy!
