Kakiat Trail Reviews
The day after the rain, you can see a lot of stream water, so it is a good hiking course. It is a famous place and many people visit, but you can enjoy various courses under 3 hours during the week. It is definitely the best walking course with dogs. Please note that if the water level rises too much, it may be difficult to cross the river!
Mar 22, 2025 · KEVINThis hike is amazing with crazy views at the top! It's an easy 20 minute hike to the top and you get a really cool view at the top overlooking tons of lush trees. If you come in the fall when the trees are changing colors it's a really beautiful scene and great for stunning pictures! Also if it's a clear day you can see the Manhattan skyline in the distance which is really cool. Their is also another longer trail if you wasn't a longer trail but I've never actually went down that trail so I can't say if it's good or not. It's definitely worth making a stop here no matter what time of year it is!
Apr 10, 2022 · BY IsraelPretty but minus a point for overcrowding all year round. Pine Meadow lake is at the end of the trail, about a 2 mile hike. It's about as smooth a "trail" as you'll find in Harriman Park, but it's still hard enough for a novice, so be prepared.
Apr 16, 2021 · A AAA beautiful trail to hike up along a lovely stream. The hike is a fairly easy one, though do have good shoes. There is a lake if you make it to the top, which is a nice bonus.Be prepared to get your feet soaked/dirty in parts where the road is not great and overrun with water after a heavy rain.SUPER busy on a weekend.
