Hampton Inn Manhattan-Chelsea Reviews
We stayed at the Hampton Inn Manhattan-Chelsea for four nights and were completely satisfied with our stay. The breakfast was simple but tasty – and even featured a waffle-making machine. The breakfast room was spacious enough to enjoy a relaxed start to the day. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and the rooms were large, clean, and comfortable. The location couldn’t have been better – right on the corner of 6th Avenue, with easy access to both buses and subways. A perfect base for exploring New York City - you could even easily walk to Greenwich Village. Highly recommended!
May 30, 2025 · Sina S.Do not stay here! We stayed here for 7 days and it was the worst Hilton property we have ever stayed at. There were so many things wrong. The hotel room and hallways have a musty odor. We had to crack the window in our room and keep the AC on to diminish the smell. Some of our towels had brown stains on them and the bath mat looked dirty upon arriving. On the AC unit, it looked like someone spilled soda on it and it was never cleaned. The ottoman/foot stool had stains all over it. We wanted to use the washer/dryer and there was a place to use a debit card, but that was not working and there was a sign “quarters only see front desk”. When my husband went to ask for quarters, he couldn’t even complete his sentence and one of the front desk staff interrupted him and said, I don’t have change in a rude voice. On the elevator, you are suppose to slide your room card before you can go up in the elevator- as a safety precaution. That was not working, which is a huge safety issue as anyone could have come off the street and come up to any floors in the hotel. My mom who was staying with us inquired about this and the staff said, it’s not working and there was no explanation. We called the front desk asking for more toilet paper and they never brought any. We called another day and it took almost an hour to deliver but they brought tissue instead and had to go back and get toilet paper. Also, the room size was extremely small!! The daily breakfast was not great - not much variety and some of the food was way overcooked and didn’t taste good. One morning, we tried both key cards to get into our room and neither worked. We had to go downstairs to get the re-activated.The big issue was our toilet was broken the entire 7 days and would run all day/night and sometimes it would not flush. We let the front desk know and the service guy came multiple times and couldn’t fix it. They said we could be moved to a 20th floor room, but that floor had no Wifi. It seemed that nothing worked in this hotel. I would never stay at this hotel again!!
Apr 07, 2025 · Shelly CopelandOverall, the prices at this hotel are extremely high, and the value for money is just not there. Upon arrival, we were charged a security deposit of around $200 in case of any damage to the room. They told us this amount would be refunded within 5 to 10 business days after check-out. It’s now been a month, and we still haven’t received the deposit.I’ve called the hotel twice, and both times they were unable to provide any help. During the last call, the staff member I spoke with was incredibly rude and dismissive. For such an expensive hotel, the service is surprisingly poor and the quality of the accommodations is only average at best.On top of that, they apply extra charges and fail to respect the timelines they themselves set for refunds. Honestly, for the price we paid, you can easily find a place with much better quality and far superior customer service. I wouldn’t stay here again.
May 19, 2025 · Fernanda Garcia RodríguezReally nice place to stay at, the location is perfect for going to popular places. The service is pretty good, I didn't do the room cleaning but the breakfast was good for hotel food, the tables where dirty for breakfast but not all. The rooms are nice with big beds, chairs to hold jackets and sit on, and enough space for big bags. I did want to say their is a beeping sound that sounds at morning sometimes and it does bother me. In general great place with great location, good service and good rooms.
Apr 23, 2025 · Naima SommerThe check in was cool but the room had No light, No AC, and smelling. The elevator was shaking.I will not recommend anyone to this hotel because of poor maintenance. If you are paying $200 per night you need to receive quality room and not garbage room
