Where do I begin. Let's start with check in. I booked this hotel for my disabled U.S. Army Vet brother and specified ADA accessible.Day 1--Prior to his arrival, they gave away the 1-accessible room they had available. He had roam NYC from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. trying to find a hotel; all booked. They said, "We cannot accommodate people with disabilities." So, he called me upset. I tried to speak with the clerk, but she screamed, "I've been talking to your brother for 3 hrs. We cannot accommodate a person with disabilities."Does the Federal & State Government know about this place. They will now! Hello, there are specific laws that call for all hotels to be handicap accessible. To add insult to injury, they sent him on a wild goose chase to find accommodations. Mind you, this reservation was booked 3-weeks in advance. He is paralyzed on his right side. He has 1-arm and he wears a rt leg brace to keep him vertical.Even though they could not check him in nor accommodate him, they blocked his credit card for the full 7-day stay.Since he could not find a place to sleep, his son drove him back to the hotel & they claimed to have moved someone out & gave the accessible room to my brother.Day--6Yesterday, he asked for clean sheets for the bed and they said, "Aren't you checking out tomorrow?" They never brought the sheets. While he was out, they picked up his towels. When he requested towels they told him they only give a certain number of towels to the guest and that he needed to trade out his old towels for new one. Well, they already entered the room and took them. No fresh towel to shower with.Day 7--When his son tried to pick him up, the staff blocked the handicap parking with a company truck and refused to move out of the handicap space. The price was $1400 for 7-nights.People, stay here at your own risk. Dealing with these people wasn't worth having a stroke. Needless to say, I do not recommend. This is why I always stay in Connecticut. - Dorcas D

Louvre Hotel NYC Introduce

The Louvre Hotel NYC, located at 109-17 Horace Harding Expy, Corona, NY 11368, USA, presents itself as an option for travelers seeking accommodation in the vibrant borough of Queens. As a hotel positioned within the "Scenic Spot" platform category, it aims to cater to guests who are exploring the local attractions and need a convenient place to stay. For inquiries, the hotel can be reached via phone at (718) 760-2820 or mobile at +1 718-760-2820.

When considering the environment of the Louvre Hotel NYC, some guest feedback highlights an emphasis on visual appeal. Upon entering, visitors may notice a decorated lobby, and this decorative theme apparently extends to each floor and even into the guest rooms. Some reviews specifically mention "beautiful natural stone floors in the rooms and bathrooms," suggesting an effort to create an aesthetically pleasing interior. The hotel's location in Corona, NY, places it within a dynamic area of Queens, offering proximity to various local points of interest, though specific scenic spots directly adjacent are not detailed in the provided information.

Regarding services, the hotel's operational approach seems to be a significant point of discussion among guests. While some aspects of typical hotel services might be expected, the provided customer reviews offer a mixed perspective. For example, the availability of parking is noted as "limited," but some guests have successfully secured a spot, acknowledging that street parking in the vicinity can be challenging. It's important to note that the hotel does not offer breakfast, which is a consideration for guests who prioritize this amenity.

A crucial aspect of hotel service, particularly for a hotel in the United States, is accessibility. The provided customer feedback raises serious concerns regarding the Louvre Hotel NYC's adherence to ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) accessibility standards. One detailed account describes significant difficulties encountered by a disabled U.S. Army Veteran attempting to secure an ADA accessible room, despite booking three weeks in advance and specifically requesting such accommodations. The review states that the hotel initially claimed "We cannot accommodate people with disabilities" and that the only accessible room was given away. This experience, if accurate, directly contradicts federal and state laws regarding handicap accessibility for hotels. Furthermore, the review details issues with customer service during this incident, including staff purportedly screaming and blocking the guest's credit card for a full seven-day stay despite initial inability to accommodate. While the guest was eventually provided an accessible room, this account points to a potentially severe lack of understanding or adherence to disability accommodation laws and proper customer service procedures.

Beyond accessibility, other service-related issues have been reported. For instance, a guest mentioned difficulties in receiving clean sheets, with staff allegedly questioning check-out dates instead of providing the requested linen. Another issue raised concerned towel service; a guest reported that their old towels were removed from the room, and when new ones were requested, they were told there was a limit on the number of towels provided and that old ones needed to be traded for new, leaving the guest without a fresh towel for showering. Additionally, the same review cited an instance where a company truck allegedly blocked a handicap parking space, and staff refused to move it, further compounding accessibility concerns.

In terms of features, the hotel's decorative elements are highlighted as a positive. The "beautiful things" seen from the moment of entry, extending to decorated floors and rooms with natural stone, suggest a focus on interior design to enhance the guest experience. However, other features, such as the beds, have received less favorable comments. One review specifically noted a "basic spring bed with very little cushioning," where the springs could be felt, leading to a less than optimal sleep experience. The hotel's pricing, at approximately $1400 for a seven-night stay, is noted as "not overly expensive" by one reviewer, suggesting it may be considered a reasonably priced option for some, though this would need to be weighed against the reported service and amenity shortcomings.

Promotional information, based on the provided data, is limited beyond the basic contact details and address. The hotel's presence on a "Scenic Spot" platform category implies that it positions itself as a convenient base for exploring nearby attractions in Queens or potentially Manhattan, given New York City's public transportation network. However, the available information does not detail specific scenic spots the hotel is particularly close to or any special packages or deals tied to local tourism. Potential guests would need to research local attractions in Corona and the wider Queens area to understand how the Louvre Hotel NYC might serve as a suitable lodging option for their itinerary.

In summary, the Louvre Hotel NYC appears to aim for an appealing aesthetic with its decorated interiors and natural stone finishes. However, based on the provided customer reviews, there are significant concerns regarding its service quality, particularly concerning ADA accessibility and basic guest amenities like linen and towel service. Prospective guests, especially those with disabilities, are strongly advised to exercise caution and thoroughly verify the hotel's current policies and actual capabilities regarding accessibility and guest services before booking. The hotel's price point may be attractive to some, but the potential for negative experiences related to service and certain room features, such as bed comfort, should be carefully considered.
