Military Park Reviews
Beautiful park. Mesmerizing statues.
Apr 28, 2025 · SamiaI was walking around Newark and was drawn to this place due to the large Christmas tree. There were signs in the area pointing to Penn Station, which was in the area. The park has a lot of military-related statues, including a large carving in the middle. There is a lower garden in the shape of a sword (only noticed it when looking on Google Maps). There was also a large flag pole and other statues scattered about the area. The other half of the park was more park-like with trees and seating. It was night, so I didn't wander too far, but it was well lit.It was an interesting stop.
Apr 21, 2025 · Benedict UyReally nice park but certain areas have a strong odor of urine which of course is very unpleasant smell on any given day. It has an awesome merry go round and a beautiful statue. The park needs a little TLC to bring it back to grandeur.
Jun 08, 2017 · Es GeeRight in the heart of downtown newark, it's always been a place to go sit and relax and take in the sights. The summer months here are amazing with shows, concerts, and events that go on all summer long. I have been in newark all my life, and to be able to see the park constantly improve over the years really warm my heart. They have a carousel for the kids, a restaurant, and its directly on the bus line.
Sep 01, 2023 · djinn davisGot in the habit of taking pictures when I have to take long walks. Military park happens to be located in the direction I'm going. Still peaceful despite the busy, loud surroundings. What was disappointing is that despite however many signs & care by vendors/patrons, it doesn't fail to see signs of others disregard for others & the environment.
