Pointe Plaza Hotel Reviews
This was my second time in New York (but first time alone) and my stay at Pointe Plaza Hotel was absolutely fantastic! Great location with plenty of bus stops just around the corner and a subway station within a ten minute walk (plus great restaurants nearby as well). The staff were amazing and so helpful. They helped me carry my luggage to my room on the third floor since the elevator was broken down when I arrived, they offered me a bottle of water and so on. Would give them all ten stars if I could! The breakfast at the hotel was amazing, and my room was always clean when I came back from a long day of exploring the city, which I really appreciate.Overall, my stay here was lovely. And I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting NYC! I'll definitely be staying here again the next time I'm in NYC!
May 12, 2025 · Ella SandellIt is located in a conservative Jewish neighborhood. Front desk staff was friendly. There is no complimentary breakfast on Saturdays. The egg salad bagel on Monday morning was great! Our room on the 5th floor of this 5 story building was comfortable, if not a bit odd. We walked into a half kitchen with a small fridge, small sink, two burner range, microwave a table and two chairs. The ceiling was very high, and there was a skylight that made the room as bright as having a strong fluorescent light on. Clean bathroom, comfortable bed, and small tv. It was a bit overpriced for what it was, I thought. It was not close to the subway. But it suited our needs.
May 27, 2025 · Sheila WarmanI was hesitant because of some reviews I saw about mice and cleanliness , but I think they came from someone who was just not a happy person . I stayed here last night and I’m sorry I hadn’t come sooner! It was VERY clean!! The bed was very comfortable. The AC/Heat unit was clean and worked perfectly. The staff couldn’t be any more helpful and friendly . I will defiantly come back here often. I travel for work and need to stay put often. Great location too ! Oh and lots of hot water too!
Apr 09, 2025 · suzanne dandreaI lived in BK for 15 years, and need to now travel in for work on occasion. Unfortunately, this time I stayed at Pointe Plaza, and I can’t understand how it has a 4-star rating. I’m giving it 2 stars solely because the staff was friendly. The room, however, was a disaster. The overpowering scent of cheap cleaning products was unbearable, and the door barely closed properly — it didn’t lock securely. I’m not sure if all their rooms are this bad, but this experience was unforgettable for all the wrong reasons. Honestly, I felt like I was in a horror movie, it just felt creepy.
May 18, 2025 · Erica QuinnEerily high ceilings for a hotel, the shower took a while to get any hot water, tv barely worked, the doors on the wardrobe were smashed and off the tracks, front desk staff weren’t very nice or attentive, bad lighting, no cutlery in rooms yet there’s a fridge and a microwave, ages from the subway, noisy traffic right outside and kids screaming from other rooms. The only plus was free self service laundry & bed was comfy.
