Queens Hotel Introduce
For local users considering accommodation in the vibrant borough of Queens, New York, especially those looking for a base near various attractions or for convenient transit, the Queens Hotel in Woodside, NY, presents itself as an option. As a lodging establishment, it caters to a variety of travelers, from those on a tight budget to individuals seeking proximity to transportation hubs. Situated at 65-15 Queens Blvd, Woodside, NY 11377, USA, the hotel's location places it within a dynamic urban landscape, offering access to the diverse experiences that Queens and the wider New York City area provide. The hotel can be reached via phone at (718) 458-8808 or mobile at +1 718-458-8808.
When considering a hotel as a "Scenic Spot" platform category, it's important to understand how a hotel, in its own right, contributes to or facilitates the enjoyment of local attractions. While the Queens Hotel itself is not a traditional scenic spot like a park or landmark, its role lies in providing a comfortable and convenient dwelling from which guests can easily venture out to explore the numerous scenic and cultural points of interest that Queens has to offer. For instance, its location on Queens Boulevard provides a direct artery to many neighborhoods, each with its own unique character and attractions. Guests staying here might find themselves well-positioned to visit nearby Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, home to the iconic Unisphere and the Queens Museum, or to explore the diverse culinary scene and cultural enclaves found in areas like Jackson Heights or Long Island City, which boasts stunning waterfront views of the Manhattan skyline. The hotel acts as a practical gateway, enabling visitors to immerse themselves in the local environment and its attractions without having to contend with the higher prices often found in Manhattan.
Regarding the hotel's environment and features, online information presents a mixed picture. Some guests have found the hotel to be a reasonable choice for its price point. For example, one positive review highlights the hotel's affordability, describing it as "very reasonable in terms of pricing" and a "great option if you want to be close to JFK Airport and not too far from Manhattan." This suggests that for travelers prioritizing budget and accessibility to key transportation hubs like JFK Airport and the city's main attractions, the Queens Hotel could fit the bill. The convenience of its location for airport access is a significant draw for many travelers, particularly those with early flights or late arrivals. Additionally, its proximity to Manhattan via public transport routes on Queens Boulevard makes it a viable alternative for those who wish to explore the iconic landmarks of the city without paying premium Manhattan accommodation rates. The hotel also offers essential amenities for a comfortable stay, including access to water for purchase, which is a convenient provision for guests.
However, it is crucial to provide a balanced perspective, as customer experiences vary. One detailed review recounts a significantly negative experience, describing rooms that were in "completely unacceptable condition," with issues such as a "broken window," "hair on the sheets," "holes on roof," a "foul smell," and "visible mold and filth." This account raises serious concerns about hygiene and health, indicating that some rooms may not meet expected standards of cleanliness and maintenance. The reviewer also detailed difficulties in resolving these issues with both the hotel and the booking platform, reporting a lack of responsibility and even rude communication. This highlights a potential inconsistency in room quality and customer service, which prospective guests should be aware of. It suggests that while some guests may have a satisfactory experience, others might encounter significant problems.
In terms of services, the hotel staff has received praise from some guests. A positive review specifically commends the "really helpful" hotel staff, with a shout-out for their quick assistance in providing an iron and scissors upon request. This indicates that some aspects of the hotel's service, particularly responsiveness to guest needs, are positive. However, the previously mentioned negative review suggests that the response to more serious complaints, such as those regarding room conditions, might be less satisfactory. Therefore, the level of service experienced by guests may depend on the nature of their requests or issues.
Promotional information, often implicit in guest reviews, focuses on the hotel's value proposition. The recurring theme for positive feedback is the hotel's affordability and strategic location. Phrases like "doesn’t break the bank" and "affordable place" suggest that the hotel markets itself, perhaps indirectly through word-of-mouth, as a cost-effective choice for travelers. Its appeal lies in offering a clean, comfortable, and reliable stay without incurring high expenses. For individuals or groups seeking a budget-friendly option while still being able to access New York City's attractions, the Queens Hotel aims to present itself as a viable solution. The ability to be "close to JFK Airport and not too far from Manhattan" is a key selling point for those prioritizing logistical convenience.
In conclusion, the Queens Hotel in Woodside, NY, positioned within the "Scenic Spot" platform category as a facilitator for exploring local attractions, offers a mixed bag of experiences based on available online information. Its strengths lie in its competitive pricing, convenient location for airport access and Manhattan exploration, and, at times, helpful staff. However, potential guests should be aware of reported inconsistencies in room quality and cleanliness, as well as the potential for challenges in resolving significant issues. For local users, particularly those planning a trip that requires economical lodging with good transport links to various points of interest in Queens and beyond, the Queens Hotel could be a consideration, but it is advisable to manage expectations regarding room conditions and to potentially confirm room specifics upon booking.

Queens Hotel Reviews
My experience with this hotel — booked for our honeymoon — was deeply disappointing. Upon arrival, we found the room with broken window and some hair on the sheets. Then we were moved to the “better room” upgraded which was even worse and in a completely unacceptable condition: dirty, holes on roof, foul-smelling, with visible mold and filth. It was absolutely unfit for guests.I raised the issue immediately, supported by photos, but both the hotel and Booking.com refused to issue a refund or take responsibility. This was not a minor complaint — it was a serious hygiene and health issue.I expected much more from a platform like Booking.com, especially when it comes to guest safety. Instead, they chose to side with the property without fairly addressing the evidence I provided. They were even rude and explaining to me that i was lying and refusing the room, which is not even for living nor for paying!!I am now pursuing formal complaints and sharing my experience publicly to help others avoid the same disappointment — especially if you’re traveling from abroad or booking a trip that’s important to you. Be cautious and do not assume you’ll be protected if things go wrong.I do have videos of the better room but i can’t upload it.
May 29, 2025 · Jovana StojanovskaI had a really good stay at this hotel! Very reasonable in terms of pricing and a great option if you want to be close to JFK Airport and not too far from Manhattan. The room and bathroom were both very clean, the bed was super comfortable, and they had water available for purchase, which was convenient. The hotel staff were really helpful. Shoutout to them for quickly providing me with an iron and scissors when I asked. If you’re looking for an affordable place that doesn’t break the bank but is still clean, comfy, and reliable, this is definitely it. Would stay again!
May 23, 2025 · Selvine StephensonYou get what you pay for, right? Well, this place was okay for a solo trip. The beds and bathroom were clean and tidy, and they even gave us toiletries. But the floor felt a bit sticky, and the walls had some chips. Overall, I was happy with my stay, though.
May 15, 2025 · Affan MansoorI think the negative comments are being quite dramatic.I went for the first time in NYC with a friend, and we wanted to budget while still being comfortable. We got a very clean room with a huge bed, a nice bathroom and a cool view. Plus we were in the middle of queens, meaning good and various restaurants (Latin American, Asian food, etc)The service was great: we were even quite annoying with the receptionists because we had to wake up early (5am) and use the common fridge, but they were all really nice and patient with us.I feel like those who had a bad experience went with way too much expectations. This a decent hotel, cheap and close enough to NY. We had a great time and we recommand it.
Mar 10, 2025 · dalia djazouliYou get what you pay for…The room had a weird, moldy smell. The walls and doors were extremely dirty. I ended up wiping them down because I couldn’t take it. The smoke detector was covered with plastic, the comforter had a burn in it, which indicated that prior guest smoked. The toilet made noise the ENTIRE time. There was no full length mirror. There was no microwave or fridge in the room. When I tried to warm up my food I was told the microwave was locked up in the basement until 7:30 am. They don’t even provide a microwave in the lobby for the guests convenience. When I was ready to check out, anorher guests parked in the no parking zone and blocked my car in. The front desk staff couldn’t find out who the car belonged to because they don’t take down the driver’s car information, which they should. I was asked if I wanted an extension (as if I wanted to spend another second in this gross ass place). The ONLY semi positive thing I have to say is the person who checked me in (short Asian girl with blonde hair and glasses) was nice.
