Seton Park Introduce
For New Yorkers, especially those in The Bronx, discovering vibrant and well-equipped green spaces is a key part of city living. Seton Park, located at Independence Ave, Bronx, NY 10463, USA, stands out as a truly "fantastic" destination, as acclaimed by local users. This 11.69-acre community park offers an impressive array of recreational facilities, catering to a diverse range of ages and interests. From its well-maintained baseball fields and tennis courts to its exciting new skatepark and a beloved playground, Seton Park is a testament to the ongoing investment in public spaces that enrich community life. It's not just a place for sports; it's a hub for relaxation, family fun, and engaging community events, making it a truly invaluable asset for residents of the Riverdale and surrounding Bronx neighborhoods.
Seton Park is conveniently located at Independence Ave, Bronx, NY 10463, USA, situated within the Riverdale section of The Bronx. This prime location makes it highly accessible for residents of Riverdale, Spuyten Duyvil, and other nearby communities. Its integration into a largely residential area means that many locals can reach the park easily on foot, bicycle, or via short drives.
Public transportation offers robust options for reaching Seton Park. The park is well-served by several MTA bus lines, including the BX10 and BX20, which run along Independence Avenue and other major streets in the area. These bus routes connect to subway stations such as Marble Hill-225 St (1 train) and the Metro-North Railroad's Marble Hill station, both of which are within a manageable walking distance or a quick bus transfer from the park. The 1 subway line provides direct access to Manhattan, making Seton Park accessible even for those traveling from other boroughs. This extensive public transit network ensures that Seton Park is a convenient destination for a broad spectrum of New Yorkers seeking outdoor recreation.
For those traveling by car, on-street parking is available in the residential areas surrounding Seton Park. However, as with many popular spots in NYC, parking can be competitive, especially during peak hours or community events. It's always advisable to be mindful of street cleaning regulations to avoid parking tickets. The park's design, however, naturally encourages active transportation like walking and cycling, reinforcing its role as a neighborhood park.

May 29, 2025 · MkaureneLove this park, has a great playground for kids. Not very busy. Has chess tables, rock climbing. The restrooms were super clean.
Apr 29, 2025 · suleika ArjonaIf you have kids and aren't far from here, bring them to this fun spot. They'll get great exercise while enjoying a fun experience of the new playground, and parents get a win too.Adults without kids can also get some exercise here. However, please don't be one of those trying to show off in front of kids and make a fool of yourself. I support kids laughing at such people. There's exercise equipment (outdoors) for adults, so don't be surprised to see adults working out.I highly recommend!
May 04, 2025 · Raphael O. HarryA beautiful park with lots to offer, but beware of the dog run. It's filled with owners who have absolutely no idea of social cues and how to train their dogs. Aggressive, untrained breeds, and their aggressive untrained owners flock to this park in exchange for giving their dog proper exercise. Again, the park is absolutely lovely. The review and stars are specifically for the abysmal dog park
