Hey New Yorkers! When it comes to experiencing the vibrant pulse of our city, especially the electric energy of downtown Manhattan, choosing the right hotel can truly elevate your visit. For those who thrive on style, modern comforts, and being at the epicenter of a buzzing neighborhood, the SIXTY LES Hotel on Allen Street in the Lower East Side is a name that frequently comes up. This hotel isn't just a place to sleep; it's a destination that embodies the contemporary spirit of its surroundings, offering a stylish base for exploring one of New York City's most dynamic districts.
The Lower East Side (LES) is famous for its rich history, cutting-edge art scene, diverse culinary landscape, and legendary nightlife. SIXTY LES Hotel aims to capture this essence, blending sleek design with a lively atmosphere. It’s a hotel that attracts those who appreciate a fashionable aesthetic and are ready to immerse themselves in the neighborhood's energetic vibe. While it certainly offers a sophisticated experience, it's also important for locals and visitors to understand its unique character, particularly its integration with a vibrant nightlife scene. This article will provide a clear, engaging, and factual overview of SIXTY LES Hotel, detailing its location, services, features, and why it might be the perfect fit for your next stay in New York City.
SIXTY LES Hotel boasts a prime and highly desirable location at 190 Allen St, New York, NY 10002, USA. This address places it squarely in the heart of the Lower East Side, one of Manhattan's most dynamic, trendy, and historically rich neighborhoods. For New Yorkers and those visiting, this central position offers unparalleled access to a myriad of attractions and conveniences.
Accessibility to SIXTY LES Hotel is excellent, thanks to New York City's extensive public transportation network. Multiple subway lines are just a short walk away, making it incredibly easy to navigate the entire city:
- The F, M, J, and Z subway lines are directly accessible via the Delancey Street-Essex Street station, which is mere blocks from the hotel. These lines offer direct connections to Midtown, Greenwich Village, Brooklyn, and other key areas of Manhattan.
- The B and D subway lines are also within reasonable walking distance via the Grand Street station, further expanding transit options.
In addition to subway access, numerous MTA bus lines operate along the surrounding avenues, including routes on Allen Street, Delancey Street, and Grand Street. These bus lines provide convenient options for local travel and connections to other parts of the city that might be less directly served by subway. The Lower East Side itself is a highly walkable neighborhood, allowing guests to explore its unique boutiques, art galleries, diverse restaurants, and vibrant street art simply by stepping out of the hotel. The hotel's strategic placement means you're not just staying in a room; you're immersed in the authentic pulse of downtown New York, with major cultural sites, nightlife hotspots, and culinary adventures literally at your doorstep. Whether you're looking to hit up a famous deli, explore a historical landmark, or dance the night away, SIXTY LES's location serves as an ideal launchpad.
SIXTY LES Hotel offers a range of services designed to provide a comfortable and stylish stay, catering to guests who appreciate modern amenities and efficient service.
- Efficient Check-in/Check-out: Guests have reported smooth and efficient check-in processes, indicating a well-organized front desk team focused on guest convenience.
- Spacious Guest Rooms (for Manhattan standards): Feedback highlights that even junior suites feel "super spacious for Manhattan standards," suggesting that the hotel provides more generous room layouts than many other city hotels.
- Modern and Well-Equipped Rooms: The rooms are described as modern and well-equipped, implying contemporary design, essential in-room amenities, and functional furnishings.
- Helpful Staff: The hotel team, particularly at the front desk, is noted for being efficient and helpful, indicating a commitment to guest satisfaction.
- On-Site Dining/Bar Options: While not explicitly detailed in provided reviews, hotels of this caliber in such a vibrant location typically offer on-site dining and bar facilities, which enhance the guest experience. (Note: Public information generally indicates there is a lobby bar and a rooftop pool/bar, though specific details beyond this were not in provided data).
- Concierge Services: Given the hotel's style and location, it's highly probable they offer concierge services to assist with local recommendations, transportation, and bookings.
It is important to note, however, that while the staff strives for efficiency, some operational inconsistencies can occur, as suggested by a guest needing to call multiple times to receive a folio.
SIXTY LES Hotel is known for several distinct features and highlights that contribute to its unique appeal in the Lower East Side.
- Stylish and Modern Design: The hotel boasts a contemporary aesthetic, with rooms described as "stylish" and "modern." This design sensibility aligns with the trendy atmosphere of the Lower East Side.
- Spacious Rooms (by NYC standards): A notable highlight is the perceived spaciousness of the rooms, particularly the junior suites, which are considered generous for Manhattan, offering guests more room to relax and unwind.
- Vibrant Nightlife Integration: The hotel is directly associated with a lively club within the building, which is a significant feature. For guests looking to be immersed in the Lower East Side's nightlife, this direct access can be a major draw.
- Excellent Location: As mentioned, its prime spot on Allen Street provides unparalleled access to the Lower East Side's renowned dining scene, art galleries, boutiques, and nightlife, as well as convenient public transportation.
However, it's crucial to address a very significant "feature" that also serves as a critical consideration for potential guests:
- Loud Music from the On-Site Club: A prominent highlight (and drawback for some) is the "unbelievably, unbearably, unacceptably loud music from the club in the building that makes it entirely impossible to sleep until very, very late." This thumping bass, which can be felt through the mattress, is a consistent and unavoidable aspect on nights when the club is open. This feature makes the hotel highly suitable for those who intend to partake in the nightlife or are heavy sleepers, but explicitly unsuitable for those seeking quiet rest.
This dual nature — stylish design and prime location versus significant noise from the integrated club — forms the core identity and primary "highlight" of SIXTY LES Hotel.
As a stylish boutique hotel in a prime New York City location, SIXTY LES Hotel typically offers value through its overall experience rather than frequent, publicly advertised "promotions" or "special offers" in the discount sense. However, for New Yorkers looking to book a stay, here's how they might perceive "promotions" or value offers:
- Direct Booking Benefits: While not always explicitly advertised as a discount, booking directly through the hotel’s official website (sixtyhotels.com/sixty-les) can sometimes yield exclusive rates, complimentary upgrades (subject to availability), or more flexible cancellation policies compared to third-party booking sites. This can also ensure better communication for specific requests.
- Seasonal Rates: Like most hotels, SIXTY LES's room rates will vary based on demand, time of year, and day of the week. Booking during off-peak seasons (e.g., certain weeks in January or February) or choosing weekday stays can often result in lower prices, which effectively acts as a promotion for budget-conscious travelers.
- Long-Stay Discounts: For those planning an extended visit to the city, some hotels offer reduced nightly rates for stays of a certain duration (e.g., 3 nights or more). It's worth inquiring about such potential discounts directly with the hotel.
- Package Deals: Hotels sometimes create packages that bundle accommodation with experiences, such as dining credits at their on-site restaurants, passes to local attractions, or complimentary valet parking. While not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews, it's a common practice for boutique hotels. Checking their official website would be the best way to find any such current offerings.
- Membership Programs / Loyalty Rewards: For frequent travelers, exploring if SIXTY Hotels has a loyalty program or if they participate in any broader luxury hotel collection programs could offer perks and benefits on future stays, serving as a long-term "promotion."
The core "promotion" of SIXTY LES is its unique combination of stylish ambiance, spacious rooms (by NYC standards), and its prime location that allows for an immersive Lower East Side experience, particularly for those who appreciate or desire direct access to a lively nightlife scene.

Phone: (877) 460-8888

The official website for the hotel is generally sixtyhotels.com/sixty-les. This website is the best place to find the most current information regarding room types, amenities, photos, and to make direct bookings. You can also likely find more detailed information on their on-site dining options, rooftop pool, and club activities, which are integral to the hotel's experience. Given the significant impact of the on-site club's noise on some guests, it would be prudent to check club schedules and potentially inquire about room locations if quiet is a priority for your stay.
For New York locals, or those visiting who truly want to experience the dynamic energy of our city, SIXTY LES Hotel is a highly suitable choice under specific circumstances. If you are a night owl, someone who thrives on being in the thick of the action, or simply someone who doesn't mind a lively soundtrack well into the early hours, this hotel offers an unparalleled immersion into the Lower East Side's vibrant nightlife scene. Its stylish and modern rooms provide a comfortable, often spacious (for NYC!), and well-equipped base for your adventures. The efficient and helpful staff also contribute to a smooth stay.
This hotel is particularly ideal for:
- Those seeking an authentic Lower East Side experience, where you step out directly into a neighborhood full of trendy bars, acclaimed restaurants, and unique boutiques.
- Solo travelers or couples who are here to enjoy the nightlife and aren't sensitive to late-night noise, viewing the on-site club as a benefit rather than a drawback.
- Anyone looking for a stylish and contemporary hotel that offers good value for its prime location and design aesthetic, without needing extensive traditional hotel amenities like quiet corridors or a full-service restaurant for every meal.
Conversely, it's crucial to acknowledge that if a quiet night's sleep is a non-negotiable priority, especially for families, light sleepers, or those on a business trip needing undisturbed rest, the significant noise from the on-site club, as highlighted by multiple guests, makes SIXTY LES Hotel potentially unsuitable. However, for the right type of New Yorker or visitor who embraces the city's ceaseless energy, SIXTY LES Hotel offers a uniquely vibrant and stylish way to experience downtown Manhattan.

SIXTY LES Hotel Reviews
Great stay at Sixty LES. Check in was smooth and the team was efficient and helpful at the desk. I booked a junior suite which felt super spacious for Manhattan standards. The room was modern and well equipped. Would definitely stay again next time I’m in the city.
Apr 27, 2025 · Joe PagliazzoStylish rooms (if somewhat run-down), nice staff (though I had to call four times to get my folio emailed to me), great location, unbelievably, unbearably, unacceptably loud music from the club in the building that makes it entirely impossible to sleep until very, very late. Can't recommend booking a room here any night the club is open unless you don't mind thumping bass not only in your ears but through your mattress. (And the link to the survey from the email they send you is dead. Which is why I am here.)
Jun 01, 2025 · Samuel CohenRoom is nice and comfortable. Great location. But the club causes the rooms to be unbearably loud into the early morning hours. Management did nothing about it despite admitting that lots of hotel guests were calling.I had ear plugs and a white noise machine on full volume and could still hear it over that.If you can’t sleep through loud club music in your room I wouldn’t suggest staying here!
Apr 25, 2025 · Rebecca LyleSIXTY LES is a solid hotel if you're younger, or have an active social life. The rooms are fairly modern with a bit of a Soho edge. Note that with the social club this isn't a quiet hotel. My room was near the elevator banks and the doors are fairly standard (meaning you'll hear people in the banks if they're talking).I'll be returning for the service. Special shout outs to Joseph, Destiny, Lamar, and a bearded gentleman I didn't get the name of who works evenings/nights.Friendly, accommodating, everything I want when staying at a hotel. Thanks a bunch, looking forward to another stay next month.
Feb 17, 2025 · Jonathan SchwimmerGreat location, but the room was rather dark. There were floor to ceiling windows, but it was still rather dark. That could be because it was overcast while I was there. The shower and bathroom were wonderful.
