Sleepy Hollow Hotel Introduce
The Sleepy Hollow Hotel, located at 455 S Broadway, Tarrytown, NY 10591, USA, is a distinctive lodging establishment that, within the context of a "Scenic Spot" offering services and goods, provides a comprehensive experience for travelers and local users alike. It serves as a temporary home, an event venue, and a community hub, offering a unique blend of hospitality, amenities, and a notable affiliation that caters to specific needs. Despite some mixed reviews regarding certain aspects, the hotel aims to provide a comfortable and welcoming environment, continually undergoing enhancements to improve the guest experience.
The environment of the Sleepy Hollow Hotel presents a dynamic mix of recently updated aesthetics and areas that might still reflect its history. The "lobby and ballrooms looked to be recently upgraded and were very nice," indicating a significant investment in creating modern and appealing common spaces. This suggests a positive first impression for guests arriving and utilizing these areas for events or relaxation. Guest rooms are generally described as "decent and pretty spacious," providing ample room for comfort. However, there's a notable concern regarding the beds, with one reviewer stating they were "awful. Like springs with dips in the middle," which could impact sleep quality for some guests, particularly those with back issues. This contrasts with the otherwise positive observations about the rooms' spaciousness. The hotel's environment is also distinctly influenced by its affiliation with a religious organization, leading to "on-site prayer happening in the lobby" and the presence of "a shul with a minyan sign up sheet." This creates a unique atmosphere that may appeal to guests seeking such amenities and community, while also being a defining characteristic of the hotel's overall ambiance. The on-site restaurant being kosher further enhances this specific environmental aspect. The staff are consistently praised for being "super nice" and "attentive," from the front desk to the sushi bar, contributing positively to the overall guest environment and service experience.
As a Scenic Spot, the Sleepy Hollow Hotel offers a wide array of services and "goods" for sale, primarily focused on lodging and event hosting. The core service is providing hotel accommodations, with "pretty spacious" rooms available for guests. For dining, the hotel offers breakfast, though it is "available for an additional fee." While generally a menu is implied, a buffet option was available at $26 per person on one occasion, featuring a variety of choices such as "Pancakes, scrambled eggs, hash browns, bagels, assorted pastries and fruit." This provides a convenient on-site dining solution. A significant service and "good" for sale is the presence of an "on-site restaurant that is kosher," catering specifically to guests who observe kosher dietary laws. This is a unique and valuable offering for a hotel. Furthermore, the availability of a "shul with a minyan sign up sheet" offers a distinct religious service, which is highly beneficial for guests seeking prayer facilities. The recently upgraded "ballrooms" indicate that the hotel provides extensive event and meeting space services, making it a viable venue for weddings, conferences, and other large gatherings, thereby selling event-hosting capabilities. The general helpfulness and attentiveness of the staff, from "the woman at the front desk to the people at the sushi bar," represent a core service of hospitality. The hotel's phone numbers, (914) 631-5700 and +1 914-631-5700, serve as direct contact points for inquiries about room bookings, event reservations, or any other services.
The features of the Sleepy Hollow Hotel highlight its unique appeal and functional aspects. The "recently upgraded" "lobby and ballrooms" are a key feature, showcasing modern aesthetics and improved facilities for guests and events. The "spacious" guest rooms provide a comfortable base for travelers. A standout feature is the hotel's explicit catering to a religious community, with a "kosher" on-site restaurant and the presence of a "shul with a minyan sign up sheet." This specialized offering is a significant differentiator. While the comfort of the beds has received mixed feedback, it's an important feature that impacts guest satisfaction. The availability of breakfast, even for an additional fee, offers convenience. The hotel's location in Tarrytown, within the historically rich Sleepy Hollow area, could also be considered a feature, attracting visitors interested in the local lore and attractions. The consistent positive feedback on the "super nice" and "attentive" staff is a powerful feature, as excellent customer service significantly enhances the overall guest experience. The ability to host events in the upgraded ballrooms makes it a versatile venue. The provision of accessible phone numbers (914) 631-5700 and +1 914-631-5700 is a practical feature for potential guests seeking information or making reservations.
Promotional information for the Sleepy Hollow Hotel would likely leverage its unique features and recent upgrades. The "recently upgraded" lobby and ballrooms would be key in attracting event bookings and general guests, showcasing a refreshed aesthetic. The hotel's distinct offering of a "kosher" restaurant and "shul with a minyan sign up sheet" would be a primary promotional message targeting specific religious communities, making it a preferred choice for those seeking such amenities. The staff's reputation for being "super nice" and "attentive" is a strong point to emphasize in marketing materials, as positive human interaction greatly enhances the guest experience. While the paid breakfast might be a point of consideration, its availability and variety could still be promoted as a convenient on-site option. The hotel's location in Tarrytown, famous for its Sleepy Hollow associations, could also be a subtle promotional element, drawing in tourists interested in the local legends and attractions. Online travel agencies (OTAs) and the hotel's official website would serve as primary promotional platforms, showcasing room types, amenities, and event spaces. Customer reviews, highlighting the positive aspects such as spacious rooms and pleasant staff, contribute to organic promotion. Any special packages for events, religious holidays, or local attractions could also be part of the promotional strategy. The continuous effort to upgrade facilities, as seen in the lobby and ballrooms, implicitly promotes a commitment to improving guest satisfaction and maintaining a competitive edge in the hospitality market.

Sleepy Hollow Hotel Reviews
Had a nice time at Sleepy Hollow Hotel. Staff were nice, rooms were decent and pretty spacious. The lobby and ballrooms looked to be recently upgraded and were very nice.Breakfast is available for an additional fee, I believe they’re generally a menu but the day I was there, there was only a buffet at $26 a person. Pancakes, scrambled eggs, hash browns, bagels, assorted pastries and fruit. And if you are interested the on-site restaurant is kosher as well as a shul with a minyan sign up sheet.

Like springs with dips in the middle. I have a back injury and this wasn't great. The hotel seems to be affiliated with a religious organization, so there is on-site prayer happening in the lobby.
May 27, 2025 · Lisa Marie BasileIt's an older inn, so it's definitely 3 star. Staff were friendly. Quick drive to town and local attractions. If traveling with kids who like to swim, don't get your hopes up about the indoor pool. It's only open a couple of hours. You have to go to the front desk to ask them to open the doors to the pool area. Then, wait outside the pool doors for someone to come. (The room keys don't work for the pool area, only the gym) The indoor pool isn't heated at all. It was pretty darn cold, which is odd for an indoor pool. We were practically shivering when we got out. We had a room on the 1st floor with a garden view, but since it was so close to the lobby, you could hear the lobby music all night. I couldn't sleep. I think I'll have to leave a day early so I can go home to catch up on sleep. It's 4am. I've been up since 12am. because of the music. Oh, and the AC blows directly on your face when you are lying in bed. If you can't already tell, this room is making me cranky. LolYou can order food from the hotel restaurant to go. (No room service) What we ordered wasn't bad.
May 06, 2025 · Megan JusticeOur first time visiting Sleepy Hollow, we spent a weekend at the Sleepy Hollow Hotel.Huge space. The first night stay, I explored around the hotel. It was past 11pm, the cleaning was already happening by the main lobby. It was peaceful walking around, exploring the quiet, and seeing how spacious the hotel is.Our stay was convenient near where we visited. Service to check in and out was pleasant and friendly. We wouldn't mind coming back here again too.
Mar 04, 2025 · Nancy Wong ShekWe stayed at Sleepy Hollow for 3 nights while visiting family and a trip to NYC. The hotel was VERY convenient and we had an excellent experience! The beds were comfortable and the pool and gym were a highlight. The BEST part was the service and housekeeping! Everyone was very friendly, our rooms were perfectly cleaned everyday. When my son realized he left his Nintendo Switch at the hotel, we called SURE they would not have it….but our wonderful Housekeeper Sarilia found it and kept it for us!!!!! This is what I call professional service. Thank you Sleepy Hollow for a great experience, we will be back!
