Soul Food (Mont Morris) Reviews
We were in New York for a week and had a pleasant stay. The room was big enough (lime green) and decorated in good taste. Boothe was a nice and helpful host. The guesthouse is located in a quiet and residential street, only a few minutes away from the subway (116th street). It takes between 15-30 minutes to get to Midtown and Downtown Manhattan. The stairs are a bit squeaky but the other guests were very mindful. Def recommend if you enjoy mingling with locals and/or are on a budget.
Jul 30, 2023 · ChrisStayed 5 nights in this absolutely stunning Hotel! An authentic New York Building with all the luxuries of a hotel! The host is really helpful & welcoming. (And if you're lucky you can give the house-dog a belly rub!)It's located in a fun, living & charming neighborhood about 20 min from the center by metro. Would absolutely recommend!
Mar 09, 2023 · Maxime OpsomerWe stayed for 3 days and it was amazing! love this place!the rooms are spotless! the whole has the most beautiful artwork (I love it)The host was accommodating and understanding! She helped us when our flight was canceled. The rooms are spacious, well equipped, the location is great because is not near to the main street, so at night you don't get any sounds but still the metro station is just a few blocks away.
Apr 07, 2022 · Diana TorresAt first it seemed to me like it was a little far away from everything but I was wrong. It is located just a couple of blocks away from 3 subway stations and we were about 10 minutes away from midtown. The place is located in a beautiful quiet and safe neighbourhood.Boothe's house is a beautiful and tastefully decorated brownstone. Keep in mind you will have to carry your luggage up some narrow stairs. There is a rule to remove your shoes inside, which makes for a super clean place and a quiet one. You should also wear a facemask in the common areas. You access the house with a personalized code and the room will be ready at the time of your arrival.Having stayed in NYC several times, I can definitely tell you the rooms are bigger than your average hotel. The room is spacious. You get a bathroom, a closet (mini fridge included), a desk, a couch and a super comfortable and cozy bed. There is no housekeeping service during your stay, however you have everything you need such as several towels, toiletries, hair dryer, filtered water, a tea and a coffee maker. My room also came with a TV.This place was perfect to rest after a hectic day in the city. Boothe was very kind and helpful. I will definitely be back and I will be recommending this place to friends and family.
Jan 04, 2022 · Carolina Muñoz BernalWell, it said bed and breakfast, but I didn't get any breakfast or instructions for breakfast. I also left a couple of messages and NEVER got a response. I did like the location, and the place was comfortable. I would recommend just bringing all of your own towels and necessities no matter how big or small.
