Martinique New York on Broadway, Curio Collection by Hilton Reviews
What a wonderful stay we had!! The hotel is beautiful, clean and comfortable. The employees are friendly and helpful. I was very impressed. It is located in Koreatown which is a vibrant neighborhood. Lots of shopping and restaurants close by. There is a subway station right next to the hotel which is convenient. I highly recommend it. We will stay at this hotel during our next visit to Manhattan!
May 28, 2025 · Kat MI probably would not recommend this hotel. The location was great, and most of the people who worked there were nice. (Shout out to bellman Jose for the bagel recommendation)We went downstairs around midnight to pick up some pizza from a delivery. The night shift bellman walked past us a few times while we were sitting in the lobby and stared at us each time. Not sure if we looked like we didn’t belong or what, but it was quite awkward and uncomfortable. The hotel is old and under construction on the exterior, so our view was a tarp, which was not disclosed when we booked the hotel. The interior needs some updating on the room levels. Outlets were loose in our room and the chargers wouldn’t stay in.The room itself left much to be desired. The bathroom door is essentially see through. While it might be “frosted glass,” anyone can see. This made traveling with two teenagers rather awkward for showering, considering the privacy was lacking. We had to hang a towel from the door frame to offer any sort of privacy. The toilet is LOUD. It will wake up everyone at night if you have to use it. And the light from the bathroom will also wake you up. There was no fan in the bathroom, so the humidity lingered, and there was no way to help with bathroom smells. The AC/ heater makes an extremely loud snapping noise at it turns off and on which gets annoying during the night. There is no mini fridge, so if you have left overs, there isn’t anywhere to store them
May 29, 2025 · Christina McLaughlinThe location of this hotel is great and I LOVE the historic nature of the building and what has been preserved. The bellman were very pleasant and courteous. The front desk staff were less-than-helpful when we tried to check out a day early. (They said they couldn’t remove the room charge, even though we left before 2p, because it had already been cleaned.)Additionally, the elevators are poorly maintained. They are very slow and “jerky.” Unfortunately, a member of our party actually got stuck on the elevator, as it stopped between floors! The fire department and maintenance were called and the occupants of the elevator had to be pulled out by their arms. Even though this was very scary, the front desk made only a nominal adjustment to this person’s bill.
May 20, 2025 · Melissa EasdonI was not looking forward to staying in this hotel, my company booked it. I was very impressed. I arrived late on Thursday night after a flight delay. It was close to midnight and everything was open, alive, and vibrant. I checked in and when right out to a restaurant just a few doors down and had a wonderful meal. The Bronze Owl bar in the hotel is so stylish and chic, with great cocktails and super friendly staff. There is a fantastic dessert shop just outside the hotel lobby called Sweet Graffiti that I visited twice during my stay, yummy! The front desk staff were great and my room was clean, comfortable and very quiet. I look forward to returning!
Mar 31, 2025 · Carl MccaskillThe hotel itself was beautiful; the lobby was stunning, the gyms were modern, and the elevator was the perfect place to take photos. However, I felt not-as-great about the service. I felt as if the staff didn't want to be there by their tone, manner of speech, and posture- they just weren't approachable and looked like they felt 'better-than' by my families presence. I've never felt like this in all of the places I've been to- Raffles in Rajasthan, other Hiltons in DC, and in my various stays in Vegas. This might just be an NYC thing, but IDK. (side note- I usually book larger rooms and I didn't dress as good as I usually do. so this might've been a thing where I was seen with negative stereotypes in mind)Location was very nice! It was near many stores and shops but it had a unique sewage smell. Rooms were fancy but a bit small (I usually book larger rooms, but this was a very last minute trip so that might've been what I'm used to).
