The Plaza Introduce
For discerning New Yorkers and visitors alike, few establishments evoke the grandeur and timeless elegance of New York City quite like The Plaza. More than just a hotel, it is a landmark, a cultural institution, and a symbol of unparalleled luxury that has graced the corner of Fifth Avenue and Central Park South for over a century. Since its opening in 1907, The Plaza has been synonymous with sophistication, playing host to royalty, celebrities, and countless memorable moments in the city's rich history. It’s the kind of place you see in movies and read about in books, but experiencing it in person, whether for an exquisite afternoon tea or a luxurious overnight stay, truly brings its legendary status to life.
Stepping into The Plaza is like stepping into a bygone era of opulence, where meticulous attention to detail and impeccable service are paramount. While it embraces its storied past, The Plaza also seamlessly integrates modern comforts and amenities, ensuring that every guest experience is nothing short of extraordinary. From its magnificent architecture reminiscent of a French chateau to its lavish interiors adorned with crystal chandeliers and fine furnishings, every corner of The Plaza tells a story of elegance and refinement. It's a destination in itself, offering a unique blend of historical charm and contemporary luxury that continues to captivate the hearts of those who walk through its iconic doors. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, indulging in a leisurely staycation, or simply seeking a taste of New York's ultimate luxury, The Plaza promises an experience that transcends the ordinary.
The Plaza Hotel boasts one of the most prestigious and desirable addresses in New York City: 768 5th Ave, New York, NY 10019, USA. This prime location places it directly on Fifth Avenue, overlooking the iconic Pulitzer Fountain and, most notably, Central Park South. This strategic positioning offers guests breathtaking views and immediate access to some of Manhattan's most famous attractions and vibrant districts.
Accessibility is a key advantage for The Plaza, making it incredibly convenient for both locals and out-of-town guests. Located on the border of Midtown West and Midtown East, the hotel benefits from extensive public transportation options. All major subway lines – including the N, Q, R, W, F, 1, 2, A, C, and D – have stations within a short walking distance (one to eight minutes), providing seamless connections to virtually every part of the city. For those arriving by car, valet parking is available, though it comes with a surcharge and no in-and-out privileges, and an additional fee for oversized vehicles. Given its central location, accessing the hotel from major New York airports like LaGuardia (LGA) or John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) is straightforward via taxi, ride-share services, or airport express trains connecting to the subway system. The hotel also offers limo/town car service for added convenience. This exceptional accessibility ensures that navigating the city from The Plaza is both effortless and efficient, whether you're heading to a Broadway show, a museum, or a business meeting.

The finger sandwiches, pastries and teas were delicious. It was an exceptionally experience. You must go at least one. Enjoy your visit.
May 07, 2025 · Diane CapezzaRooms are nice but missing some amenities you would expect such as no coffee maker in the room. Phones not easy to use. No turn down service...Service was very attentive but slow to respond.Location is very convenient for shopping...8Place is the place to be seen but not truly elegant but is opulent
Apr 26, 2025 · Jim WilliamsWe had the most awful experience here. When you go somewhere like this, paying prices like $36 - $38 for a turkey club, you expect good service and the fries that are served hot. The hotel included a service charge of 18% - we would have left nothing the service was so bad.Absolutely abysmal service. Firstly we asked the server if we could put our coats somewhere. He looked at us and said - "you can put it on the chair next to you", w. We had wine and water, when the water arrived there was only one glass which was slammed down on the table, water splashing everywhere. We had dietary concerns and when asked what could be altered to be gluten free the server looked at us and said "whatever" and was very dismissive. When the food arrived it was cold and the wine wasn't fresh. The only saving grace was because we had our jackets we were able to make a quick exit.AVOID THIS PLACE.
Jan 11, 2025 · Niamh FallerI recently had the pleasure of enjoying coffee here with my family, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! The service was exceptional—every staff member we encountered was friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The ambiance of the place is stunning, filled with aesthetic details that create the perfect backdrop for photos. Each corner is more picturesque than the last! I left feeling inspired and eager to return. I can’t wait to come back and explore the rooms as well. This spot has definitely secured a place in my heart, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a charming coffee experience!✨✨✨✨
