Veteran's Memorial Park Reviews
Pleasant little park right in the middle of downtown Westwood by the Pascack Valley RR line. In fact, the quaint looking RR station is basically right on the edge of the park. Lots of solid memorial benches. Also a very prominent and classic looking gazebo style bandstand right in the middle. A 150mm Trench Mortar, plaques and memorials to the fallen local war heroes of past wars are also prominently displayed. Not a picnic or sports park but a great place to relax and recharge.

May 19, 2023 · Andrew FI love Westwood and the Veteran's Memorial Park is a place to seat and enjoy life.
Sep 15, 2020 · Jane AlmeidaThis park is lovely. Right now because of the Pandemic there are picnic tables set up so that you can safely went take out from local businesses. Normally there are lots of concerts, craft markets, outdoor movies, and the like. Easy to walk into town, train station is right there. The gazebo makes it feel a bit like Stars Hollow, if you're a Gilmore Girls fan!
Jul 25, 2020 · Jennifer LiddleWe went to Veterans Memorial Park for the SpringFest Show in the Park May 1, 2022. The weather was lovely and we wanted to partake in supporting some local crafters in their arts. There was a variety of different talents we were happy to be patrons of, but we were disappointed by the serious lack of food options at an open fair like this. There were only 3-4 food vendors, and only one sold entrees. So of course the line was too long to bother with especially for a burger or hot dog. Some live music would have made the venue a lot more lively as well. Either way it was nice to pick up a few odds and ends and contribute to the artisans in our community.
