However, it's worth noting that community groups or the NYC Parks Department occasionally host free public events, workshops, or activities within city parks. These could range from fitness classes to storytelling sessions or seasonal celebrations. While not direct "promotions" by the park itself, these events offer added value and are a great way for locals to engage with their park and community. It's advisable to check the official NYC Parks website or local community boards for announcements regarding such free events in the Upper West Side area. Additionally, nearby local businesses might occasionally offer discounts or special deals that are indirectly related to park visitors, so keeping an eye on local flyers or community postings could be beneficial.

West End Park Reviews
Passed by this park in mid-winter and it actually looked nice with lots of evergreen shrubs, well-planned layout. Relatively large part of the park is allocated to playground.
Jan 27, 2024 · Mike ZGreat place for shade and a quiet location in the midst of West End Ave. In the past, the park would reek of dog feces but people seem to clean after themselves. Often times you can see kids around the age of 3-12 rooming around the playground with there babysitters. There is a monkey bar, pull up bar, slide set, water fountain, and open areas for sports. Highly recommend!
Nov 27, 2022 · Master MindOne of the nicest playgrounds around: lots of space in a well walled area, several big pieces of equipment for children, trees, a few benches, and even sprinklers on the wall.Things to know:- The playground and park are managed by West End Towers (75 West End Avenue, right across the street); they do a great job at maintaining it and they turn the wall sprinklers on on hot days (if it’s really hot, make sure your kid can get wet)- During the morning, several groups from nearby schools come by for some 30 minutes each; it’s great if you want your kids to interact with others- Every Tuesday at 10:30ish there is a music class- There are no public restrooms around
Aug 03, 2022 · José CastroThis park stinks VERY badly of (dog) urine and excrement. Dog owners / walkers, the kids don't have much option for places to play, The schools only have this park as an option. The kids can only walk so far.Take your dog's elsewhere or don't own a dog.The children's area is padded and gated and fine, but need to bring attention to the awful smell and hygiene.
Oct 18, 2019 · H. S.Parents let their kids be rude they will take your kids things and just say "oh it's ok" no its not. Nannies not watching children. The daycare across the street brings all the kids out to play
