Winter's Park Reviews
Pretty good park! I went for a picnic and was pleasantly surprised. There are tables, a gazebo, a pond, and a bridge. There were plenty of fish, geese, and ducks to watch. We even saw a water snake. The few negatives are just that there was some litter. Also, you kind of have to climb on some rocks to go from the picnic area to the gazebo.I didn’t get a chance to check out the playground myself, but from a cursory glance it looked great. This place is great to kill a bit of time or to bring your kids to or just to hang out!
Jul 22, 2024 · Calla SwansonHave come here multiple times to enjoy the views of the pond. It's peaceful despite being on a significant road and having an abundance of overhead powerlines as a key part of the view. There's plenty of seating around the pond, some of it shaded and there's plenty of parking on the lower side of the pond (in addition to the parking near the playground). There's accessible seating for those who can't manage overly rocky or uneven terrain. The geese have definitely claimed this park as a favorite spot and it's very evident based on the state of the grass. The wildflower/rain garden next to the lower parking lot is lovely. It's worth walking across the road to admire the historic train station and caboose if you have a few minutes.
Jul 12, 2022 · Mary LanganCute park with a playground, picnic tables, water views from different angles, a covered bridge and walking paths. It was lightly raining and empty when we arrived and my little girl had a blast.
May 08, 2025 · Moshe HNice children's playground. Not too big. It has a play set for kids up to 2 years old and another one from two to about 6 years old. They have picnic tables so you can bring food while watching your kids play. There's one small portable bathroom outside the playground, but no formal restroom facility. Plenty of parking.. The only downside is on hot summer days there is little to no shade and the equipment gets very hot, so Finch park is a better choice
Nov 25, 2024 · Daniel LopataThis is a nice little park with a little of everything. I primarily go to this park to fish in the morning before work and it's always a nice place in the mornings. If you go to fish don't have high expectations it's a tough pond to fish (heavily pressured) but take the time to learn it and you'll be surprised.
