World Center Hotel Reviews
Fantastic place to stay. Absolutely safe, clean, staff are friendly and helpful and if you get a superior room it has wonderful light. However, don't use the online check in via charter club app, it checked me into a standard room instead of the Superior room which I booked, and there's a big difference with light! Luckily, front desk was very helpful in checking me in correctly to a Superior room, which I highly recommend. The restaurant One 40 is wonderful. The bartender was a bit stressed while I was eating at the bar, but mainly because they had just opened. Overall, a really wonderful experience staying here. Highly recommend!
May 13, 2025 · MarthaStayed at the World Center Hotel and gotta say, the front desk service was the best part. Big props to the young woman who checked me in—she was cool and actually hooked me up with a room upgrade. She even added some nice little extras in there, which was a solid move. But let’s be real—for the money you’re dropping here, the place is kinda mid. You’re mostly paying for the location and the view, not because the hotel itself is anything special. It’s clean, it’s decent, but it doesn’t exactly blow you away. Still, not a bad choice if you want to be in the middle of everything and don’t mind paying a bit extra for convenience. Was there in November of 2024
Apr 23, 2025 · FilipLoved our stay at World One Center! Super clean, quiet, and in a perfect location close to everything. Check-in was a breeze, and we felt totally safe the entire time. Would definitely stay again!
May 24, 2025 · patssymelyssaThe World Center Hotel and Club Quarters, which share a building adjacent to the 9/11 Memorial, promote themselves as well-priced, professionally run properties in Lower Manhattan. However, the experience falls short of expectations set by their branding. The emphasis on “memorial views” and access to an observation terrace raises concerns—it’s difficult to ignore the impression that proximity to a national site of tragedy is being packaged as a feature.Rooms are compact to the point of being impractical, with limited natural light and inadequate sound insulation. Many face blank walls, construction zones, or active trash collection areas. During our stay, the street-facing window overlooked a large compactor and service entrance. Noise from early-morning trucks and buses echoed throughout the block beginning before 7 a.m., and interior noise from hallways and adjacent rooms was clearly audible.Basic infrastructure was underwhelming. The HVAC system struggled to maintain comfort. Bathrooms lacked ventilation entirely, causing steam and humidity to build up and linger. The overall spatial layout—narrow, windowless hallways with minimal visual relief—compounded the sense of confinement.Staff were professional, but operational flexibility was limited. Early check-in was unavailable despite apparent capacity. We reserved through Hotel Tonight at a reduced rate but checked out after one night. While the location is undeniably central, the product is misaligned with guest expectations. For future stays, we would not consider this property or its affiliates.
May 12, 2025 · Barry HashimotoWhen rating a hotel, the most important thing to ask is: how likely am I to come back. Next time I visit New York, I definitely am! The rooms were very nice, the staff was super helpful, and the price was very reasonable. Most importantly, though, you CANNOT beat the location! You are within walking distance to the World Trade Center tower, and you have quick transit access to just about anywhere in Manhattan and all of the outer boroughs.
