For New Yorkers, Akoya might initially seem like a destination for out-of-towners. However, its unique dining concepts and refined atmosphere present an exciting new option for locals seeking an upscale night out, a quiet business dinner, or a stylish pre-theater experience that stands apart from the typical Times Square fare. It's a testament to the city's continuous evolution, always offering fresh and intriguing experiences for even the most seasoned urbanites. Akoya represents a contemporary vision of hospitality, blending the dynamism of its location with an unexpected sense of calm and luxury.

Akoya Reviews
An intimate, elevated dining experience. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and each dish was so unique. The Grilled Oyster Hand Roll, in particular, was fantastic. Having only been open a few weeks, the restaurant is newly renovated, and being on the top floor of the hotel, it's a quiet and luxurious escape from Times Square. The staff could not have been better - so knowledgeable, welcoming, and kind. It's a small space, so I would recommend making a reservation, especially as the word gets out!
May 07, 2025 · Austin Braxton-SmithIn town on business and was on my way to the steak house to be greeted by an attendant telling me about this new sushi rooftop bar that opened TODAY. Well I tried it and it did not disappoint. Esthetically pleasing. Friendly staff. Delicious sushi. Try the wagyu caviar roll. It's absolutely and the scallop roll for a burst of flavor to your taste buds.
Apr 08, 2025 · Rosa CruzWonderful. The combination of service and food was an enjoyable start to my trip to NYC.We made a reservation on Resy and showed up a little early, I asked to see if a table was open early and it was. The waitress was friendly and attentive the whole time. She even offered a custom mocktail for my 10 year old daughter. The vibe was nice, music was good and the restaurant was aesthetically pleasing. The food was amazing, you will want to order multiple of hand rolls. Our favorites were the Lightly Cured Faroe Island Salmon, Australian Wagyu Tataki and Spicy Yellowfin Tuna. The rice was a great temperature and highlighted the flavor of the fish.I took my daughter to an early dinner here, but I would not say it is a place for kids, more a spot for after work or evening food/drinks.This has only been open a couple weeks, check it out!
May 01, 2025 · Kristy CurrierLove this new Sushi restaurant on the rooftop of the Knickerbocker Hotel - the food is delicious and the service is excelllent. Highly recommend!
May 22, 2025 · Andrew NeedhamCouldn't recommend the restaurant more - food was delicious, and the chef was so kind walking us through all of the options. A must try pre-show given its proximity to all of Broadway!
